How loud is a 4' vortek/ DR120 question

I run the same blower in a DR80 and you certainly can't hear it outside IMO, but yeah the air flow is an issue and in an apartment it would be a tougher issue. I wouldn't try it, but that's me and we live in totally different areas most likely.

I can tell you an easy fix is to get a fantech 6 inch inline and use insulated duct. I also used some foam to sit the fan in and the sound in a 6 foot cab was very quiet.
