How late have you cloned a flowering plant?

I have done some way late reveg clones.
I have had outdoor plants that i harvested at the end of October. Never pulled the main stem and rootball. I just took colas/branches. Then after New years i went and took clones off the carcass. Just a tiny moldy bud on a stick with a leaf.

Very many times i have taken them at harvest. It will root pretty normally but It can take over a month to reveg. When cloning a bud, the bud can rot.

These are some cuts from some other plants that were taken about a week before harvest and they are getting the beginning of roots and then one of a few in cups with new veg growth starting.

I prune the roots when revegging to remove flowering hormones from the plant and speed up the process. Then fresh soil with plenty of N.

As long as there is enough foliage on the plant this works a treat

I have rooted a C99 cutting taken at harvest. Took a bit longer but still rooted and started to re vegged at the same time. Used an aero cloner.

So turns out I was a little pompous. I never missed a reveg and now I have missed two, two of the best plants I have flowered. All but 2 of the clones died and neither are of the two revegged plants. They are the two other fine frosted cherry cookie plants. The first pic is a few weeks ago the others are today of the two survivors and dead reveggers. So I relearned to leave as much on the plant as possible and to clone earlier. Went ahead and popped 20 more fcc with high hopes.

Well, crap.

I fail with late cuttings, but much success with taking yield and
then switching nutes/light schedule to re veg the plant in question.

Keep us posted, we're all counting on you.

Here are a few that were taken a week or two before harvest in a different room that worked out.

I took a few cuts last week. One had a little flower on it so i tried to snip and ended up cutting the whole top off. It was just a stick. I stuck it in the cup anyway and the damn thing is growing a new leaf. Lol
