How is THC increasing?

Additionally, the idea that many of these lab "results" and breeder's wild claims are legitimate is laughable. 3 labs may reveal three different results, who is doing the testing and is the testing accurate .

I have smoked strains that were supposed to be the top 25-28% ( so I was told lol) Did not see any difference as compared to some strains considered "lower" in THC. Many of these strains taste the same, get you very stoned but not a particularly desired buzz it seems to me.

Of course I am just a bit cynical. lol. To me, I see it as marketing, nothing more. " Scientific results say..." is pretty much meaningless IMO, who is the "scientist" ??? Results for many things in our World and history are often skewed for somebody to profit. Follow the $$$.

Percentages are irrelevant! Not strong enough? Smoke more, too strong? Smoke less. Does it have the desired effect is what counts. Diff folks want diff things, and so far, very little has been identified. Find something you like, stick with it. Don't chase the loch ness monster for dinner if you already have a cow for lunch.

I do not believe it is getting stronger, when I here someone say weed is stronger today compared to then, it reminds me of that exact police talking point used for the last 20 years, maybe more..

They've had seed banks for years, a new retail outlet will be hard for anyone to make profitable these days unless its based in a legal state in the USA. The euro market is now claimed by outlets who already built their rep. Is Tom still going? Or is chim breeding with toms stock?

Terp analysis linked to a self reconciling DNA database would produce results that when overlayed onto an analysis of epigentic effects upon terp profiles could be used to produce seeds with grow guidelines as to how to bring out the terps wanted from seeds it was reliably predictably possible from. However I do not believe that anyone in the current seed production business has the infrastructure to introduce such methodologies to the business of pushing today's fashions in the seed game. Frankly, by the time that work had been done, the Zeitgeist would have passed.

“…today’s fashions in the seed game”…that’s funny and so true. A friend asked me about a cultivar the other day and wondered what I thought and if seeds were available anywhere. He heard about it from some of his friends.

On another note, what may have been bred out by seeking more and more THC? THC has been the central focus of the psychoactive effects but there may be other things (other than terpenes) that in combination may have a synergistic effect.

I'm already in that thread, salting your soil slightly, sorry.
And has Chimers given you a job or something, all the advertising you're giving his retail outlet ATM?

It's a market reaction because people are dumb when it comes to cannabis. They know leaf is weaker than buds so they chase well manicured buds which increases the overall cannabinoid vs dry weight ratio but then they've also bought into the propaganda about THC, product safety, etc. so now it's all about lab numbers and in particular who's got the highest THC% so commercial growers are now focusing on the plants that give the best THC numbers and not the quality because being able to claim 30%+ THC and have a lab back it up is better for sales than word of mouth in the current market.

It's cool..I love your opinion

I just noticed..that link from thermo fisher is for marker assist analysis gear. It talks about mapping genomes and tailoring lines with genetic data sheets. Helping with all sorts of development and identification stuff....I just thought it was cool..:)

I've been looking for a haze like the 90s stuff in amsterdam. It's like it's dropped off the plannet. Haze is Top shelf in my area nowadays and I'm looking for something better than the rest.. chim has a some limited edition stuff from sam im dying to go through. I've been badgering Sam and chim about letting me get my hands on a good 100 seriously good haze seeds. I had nearly 200 sk x haze freebies and I lost the lot due to me not dealing with them as old seeds...I was asking Sam to do some nice haze stuff and he put some out through chim

I am doing a little work with seedsman though... im getting some freebies to show some sugar haze and that (black dom x maple leaf) x white rhino that I was telling you about..
