How fast is Cindy?

It is to the best of my knowledge and understanding (from reading others journals and posts) that female seeds version of C99 is done and taken at 52 days flower to get the legendary high that she offers. At the most 55 days.

It seems that I have read also that this is counting the first day of 12/12 forward, not when you first notice the flowers. Is this true? If not help clear it up for me and explain your experiences and opinions on the matter. I have never ran any version of C99 before myself, very curious to know.

I never count the 1st TEN days... thats the transisition period from VEG into Flower...
after 10 days is when i start counting....
as is breeder descriptions, often lean towards faster flower times...

but do consider.... clones finish faster.... and not all pheno's are equal...

so after running a pack, pulling clones, and finding the perfect fast pheno..

YES then u could finish in under 65 days....

Thank you for clearing that up! Also, would it matter if the 'seed' plant was already showing pre flowers? Then would you still consider those 10 days?

I ran cindy for 3 or 4 years, believe it was moscas version, not sure if it was the F1 or the bx. It was finished at 56 days from the flip as a clone. You could take it earlier but it just shortened the legs.

im working mosca's bx1 and my girls could be taken at 56, but it doesnt really start to shine and pack on the trichs and weight until week 6-7, so im letting mine go to week 9-10 just to see if its worth the extra time. In fact , today is day 56 and Im still shootin pistols, so I most definitely hope to be rewarded for my patience.

So yes, you could take her that soon, I have cut her that soon, due to mites, but patience will reward you with a stronger and heavier harvest.

i ran a couple of clones last year and they were done @ 55 from flip.

this year i grew DNA's Cannalope Haze (Haze Bros O. Haze x Mexican Sativa) and i like it more than C99 (no paranoia). it could be taken at 55 (i let it go to 63) and has a superior high (and taste) to the C99 i grew with comparable yields.

I read this about this too. Had multiple, highly respected people from the breeding community agreeing that it is most likely C99 renamed. Some claimed to know for a fact it is C99. I ran LA Woman from DNA for a while. Nice strain. I also just bought Cannalope Kush from them and then found out about the "debacle". I will not be buying anything from them again. I'm not going to chance supporting the genetics of, or give my money to a company that might have done something this dishonest and disrespectful to one of the greatest strains of all time just to make a buck.
If ya wanna acquire, breed and sell your own C99, fine...but be honest about what it is. We got enough people in the med/rec legal states giving old stand by strains new names just for the sake of marketing. We sure don't need breeders/seed companies doing the same.

just from the look of the plants i doubt this. the Cannalope Haze grew very wide, the sidebranches almost grew horizontally! i did some LST to keep the height in check (which wasn't necessary with C99).
the high is really almost only sativa, while C99 def. had some sort of an indica undertone.
smoking C99 i could really tell that jack herer was a prominent part of the genetic makeup, while CH doesn't remind me of JH at all.

just my 2 cents...

Very beautiful buds boyd...

I'm hoping mine will be done around day 52 to 56....

Yes I am a fiend for big yields and dense nugs, but in Cindys case I want the original high and effect that cindy 99 is known for. The speedy and trippy paranoid inducing high. So on that plant in particular, I dont care if the buds are actually done under scope standards or not. I pick mostly all buds at 100% cloudy.

From my experience waiting until any trichome is amber or say 50/50 cloudy/amber just ruins the high the strain is known for...

Seems like every strain i've ran either pure indica or pure sativa if you let the trichs amber out like most people prefer you do (mostly for peak yield) then the high is all basically the same, couchlock, sleepy and relaxed. CBN is CBN and in my opinion is bland, boring and just non desirable.

When trichs are purely cloudy, you get the high that strain is known for, that is when the bids are at its max thc percentage and everything is balanced out like it should. But, I can see and understand why some people prefer cbn heavy smoke.

I'd rather have mine at a 10/90 clear/cloudy ratio personally.

I would also alike to add that out of two of my FMS cindy's, one is short, closer nodes, not stretching a whole lot but has bud sites and nodes stacked everywhere! It is really starting to smell like a straight up fresh cut pineapple... I see now where people get this pineapple smell from when they speak of her smelling like that. Its overwhelming how exact they are....

Maybe my other pheno is an interesting one? A bit taller in structure, still very bushy but the nodes are spaced out quiet a bit more. The smell is more that of cat piss right now. The other cindy (the pineapple) one seems to be flowering faster.
Anyone had this cat piss pheno?

They both have extremely serrated saw blade looking leaves, they look amazing! Long and thin.
