How far into Flower have you used AVID or Floramite. Thanks

i don't want to resort to floramite but i do have it on hand. so far the symptoms are leaves folding and drooping mainly on the tops of the plants, slight yellowing on certain strains compared to the nice dark green on most of them. i don't even know that i need to spray but from the reading i've done tonight i'm either overwatering or worst case scenario, russet mites. i'll have a microscope tomorrow to get a better look but so far i haven't noticed any bug problems aside from the odd cucumber beetle or caterpillar.

Check Mites/Borg Sticky in Cannabis Infirmary.

This thread has some of the craziest bullshit rationalization info I've ever seen. I'm glad I grow my own. Some of you guys are smoking and distributing toxic herb. -granger

lol no shit after quick re-read! I've never used floramite in flower and never would...and I generally stay away from avid at all times.

to the guy that dug this thread outta the grave- I wouldn't spray anything for russet mites unless you have absolutely confirmed their presence, personally.

yeah i try to spray as little as possible and when i do, just spinosad (generally considered safe?) and only during veg.

i doubt there are mites now that i've gotten a good look this morning. seems there's just a lot of fear mongering concerning russets lately any time a plant isn't looking 100%

Great informative reading... It shows both sides of the issue... I think the consensus is not to spray Floramite after the first week of Flower.

i doubt i'll ever use it again. dangerous. a local grower was just pressurizing his sprayer and it sprayed a bunch in his face. dudes horrified and for good reason.

No shit, for shame!

Spraying Avid and Floramaite week 4&5? FFS, stop spraying poisons on medicine that PEOPLE are going to consume!!!

I hope some of you long timers have changed your ways, because these are unacceptable practices.... talk about a thread of what not to do...

Absolute madness to even contemplate using avid at any point in flower

I don't think I'd even want to use it in late veg. The only time i've used it was as a dip on tiny clones. Fuck exposing the air around you to dangerous neurotoxins.. even when dipping I still used a respirator and chemical gloves.. the shit is lethal.

christ! if the 1st 20 pages of this thread aren't terrifying enuff
imagine with legalization and what the crush of 1,000s of wanna be growers
are doing if they get they're hands on avid or forbid.
and then read the 1st page of this thread.

any newbguy that reads anything on this 1st page
and is in bloom with a bug prob will be going down the wrong path....
this thread REALLY needs the mods to do a 1st post warning this is what you DO NOT DO.

At least some sain minds are finally responding to this thread. Apparently the first two pages of responses seem to think chemical pesticide residues are something you can see or taste. It couldn't be farther from the truth and just because other dumb asses have done it in flower or are doing it does not mean it's safe. Here's a link from a guy who had testing done on plants that were sprayed with several different pesticides and fungicides 180 days before harvest. Avid and floramite were both still present. Just imagine how many toxic chemicals all u people using them in flower are ingesting. Also burning a lot of these chemicals makes even more toxic chemicals, for instance when myclobutanil the active ingredient Eagle 20 is burned it creates hydrogen cyanide.....sooo tasty.

Don't spray in flower, especially avid or floramite, but especially not avid. When spray floramite, adjust your waters ph to 5.5-6 before adding your floramite it extends the half life of the chemical and will give you a better kill, but only do in veg or mothers.

In flower rip badly infected leaves off, bag them and dispose of them in garbage or hot compost pile. You can try dunking the plants in water or spraying with water every day or two early morning to knock them back, they will still be around though. You should try bios, I am not sure if these work but chimera would know as many others, Californicus sachets prior to flowering give up to 4-6 weeks protection, loose can be used too, also persimilis for hot spots, leaves with webbing will not be controlled readily by spraying or bios so best to remove those leaves.
