How does everyone clone?

when your cloning in soil is it o.k. to mist the dirt too? mine are drooping a bit, but until now i've only misted the leaves.

It's been a few years since I've done it in a medium with poting mix/perlite. But I always kept the soil lightly moist, not dry, and not wet, cause you want the roots to get enough moisture, but still want to go looking for a new source of water, so the roots take off. Using a spay bottle worked great for me.
