I want your honest opinion.
Isn't sitting at home and smoking all day long something us stoners are good at?

Please vote on the poll above and also don't be shy to post your opinion.

Thanks.

(Me personally, I like it that I can work from home and that I don't have to commute everyday to get to my job. Also I recently healed from being sick from Covid-19, so that was negative, see my thread my sickness and progression: https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=372893
But I still vote yes.)

Enjoying hometime with my family, garden, plants and animals. But worry about my work future at the same time.
Enjoy it yes, but would prefer my reason for staying at home was that I won the lottery..

I voted not sure as it's no secret to anyone that knowz me, that I think this World operates at a frantic pace.
Yes, I like the slow down.No I'm not looking forward to a return to the frantic hysteria post covid that I know is coming.

But, does it really matter what I like? Or what any one of us desires? The only thing to do is custom shape each one of ours personal reality. I am taking that from this experience

I’ve been a hermit grower for so long this is my normal life. I just buy extra food when I go shopping...

If you voted yes google some images of the Great Depression. That will cure ya!... it’s around the next corner.

^Depends I think on the job you do. For me personally a crisis / economic depression is not going to jeopardize my job safety. I even can do it from home.

I like working so I voted no. The two weeks I was off work I spent most of my time in the woods preparing my soil and doing things that needed to be done around the house. I also planted more vegetables than normal in case we come across a food shortage. Luckily I have a quarter mile driveway and I'm surrounded by woods and cornfields so I don't have to worry about neighbors ratting on me.

I had an injury in January that prevented me from working. I would have had to mostly stay home anyway. I guess it's nice having some time off to relax at home with the wife, but I'm worried about the state of the job market now. I'm getting contacted by recruiters every day, so it might not be that bad.

only real difference for me has been my wife at home full-time. have to chase her out of house when her job starts back up.:) my job has not even slowed, still going to grocery store, buy gas, her cigs etc. plus, turkey hunting has been a great escape if only a few hours. "secretly enjoy?" i don't think it rises to that level. it is interesting to note the different approaches folks have to current situation, mine included. :tiphat:

I am getting ready for this to be over, but the economic slowdown was already in the cards before the WuFlu lit the match. Too much debt, not enough money.

I voted no despite not really being affected by the BS going on much.

Not exactly fun but many of us will feel very good if Trump is forced to hand over the keys to Mr. Pence - because Trump has tested positive.

Of course if Trump AND Pence test positive - oh that'll be interesting.

Not exactly fun. More one of those "may you live in interesting times" kind of things.

I have been going to work all along. All the work we can handle and then some.

The county I live in has 3 cases right now.. There are counties with zero cases here in Maine.

I know this isn't the case for everyone. Not much change to be honest. We are lucky.

Grocery shopping takes a bit longer but that's about it.

We aren't big on non essentials I guess...

That being said HELL no, only an asshole would enjoy this....

Lives are being lost/ruined.

Shit, I'm loving it. Each morning I awake knowing I have nothing to do all day but play with my toys. Nobody coming, nobody going. Just the Amazon delivery guy. LOL

My band has a gig booked for Memorial day and another for June 6th. I don't especially want to do either of them. LOL I won't be the one to screw the pooch and say no to my band members. But, if they don't want to do it, I'm not going to argue. LOL

It really has nothing to do with catching anything or going out being any kind of danger. Especially, since we'll be on stage most of the time. I just don't want to go. LOL 58 days in sweats and slippers. I have 4 or 5 pounds of 10 different strains of pot in my stash. I brew my own beer and (now) distill my own whiskey. Why in the world would I have to go out? LOL

I literally have not had a pair of real pants on since our last gig just before St Patrick's Day. LOL

Do you want to ask me again if I'm loving this or not? LOL

Albeit, I must say that I am quite surprised that so many others are not bothered by it (or, actually like it). LOL Bunch of dope heads, living their dream. LOL

other than not eating out much or seeing any live music shows my life hasn't changed much at all.

I've worked 4-6 days a week, including numerous trips to Lowes/homeDepot etc. for materials. I've cooked and cleaned at my place and my GF's, we've gone for walks, I've played music with friends at my place and at my Bros jam room. Went to my Dads place and mowed his grass several times as well

I'm done being worried about this Virus. I do what I need to do to protect myself and others and the rest of this horseshit can fuck off ...lol

...as Doris said Que Sera, Sera -whatever will be, will be

edit: I don't enjoy this Lockdown at all, and I really feel for the Folks who are sick or dying or lost loved ones and I feel for the People who aren't working and are coming up short

I honestly hate it. I miss being able to be with the people I care about and every trip out feels like a trek through a minefield... Except you don't know if you stepped on a mine until days or weeks later.

The wife already worked from home, and since the lockdown I'm working from home too. I really enjoy the commute. Roll out of bed, eat, shower, go to my desk. It was three weeks before I had to put gas in the car. Filled it up last week, still have over 3/4 tank.

We are homebodies anyway, but we do enjoy going out to eat on the weekend. Takeout isn't quite the same. And I'm getting fat.

It's really no biggie for me. I hate crowds anyway.

I could keep this up for a while if I have to.

Up until march of this year I lived in a dry 320 square foot cabin 12 miles from the closest store of any kind.

I moved closer to town (6 miles) to make things easier on my daughter, who takes care of shopping and appointments as I do not have a vehicle.

And I made this move the last days of February, just as the virus moved into our country solidly.

So even under lockdown I see more people than I am accustomed to. Or are comfortable with, I have a roommate sharing my space. But also a larger refrigerator, grocery shopping is once a week instead of twice.

Stress level is up a bit, my heart condition guarantees death with the virus so flattening the curve is only the start, I need to duck under the line completely.

Which is also possible, end of days is being counted in actual days instead of weeks. Relatively lots of days still to go, but sweating the second wave is not on my worry list, skipping the first run should allow nature to take its course.

Do I enjoy this more than the months previous?
Any answer has little to do with the reality of the virus in my particular case.
