How do i stabilize my own first cross?

I don't understand how you can select the parents for a certan trait when one of them can't even show many of the traits of the other one.
How do you select a male when you want a resiny, huge buds, short height, very branchy plant?

tomato i think a large part of it is experimentation and kind of a 'lets see what you get ' philosophy at first and then once you know more or less what to expect im sure you can make your selections from there

Hi,

You should really carefully select your male because it will give half of the genes for the next generation. And if you cannot select it on the floral traits, there are still all these traits:
1. General Traits
a) Size and Yield
b) Vigor
c) Adaptability
d) Hardiness
e) Disease and Pest Resistance
f) Maturation
g) Root Production
h) Branching
i) Sex
2. Seedling Traits
3. Leaf Traits
4. Fiber Traits

And anyway, I have stumble upon some reports about using GA3 on cuttings to get a sexual reversion and thus flower some males and get buds to try the floral traits in male. But I 've limited knowledge with genetics and growth regulators, and cannot tell you more...

Nice work nycdfan, sounds to me like a good cross. I know practically nothing about breeding except for what Ive read, so I cant reall suggest anything, but it does sound like a yummy strain

nice thread will tell how i made it when i am ready with my recreation of my excellent haze strain, of that my mother and father plant got lost when they busted my grow house...
... but in outdoor05 grow produced 100s of seeds and i am still in big selection again and maybe the new one will get better as the orginal...
i am in big hope to find it back or even better
hope to make it until cup 07 - breed report will follow also with pics
