mine is about 1/8 mile and i live out in the boonies..also what do you have for the smell if you need it?..seen some huge can fans at the gro store the other day and it's got me to thinkin about odor at the end of flower..

My nearest neighbor's property line is 18' from my grow, his house is 26'. I can't grow anything too stinky or too much of anything funky without risk. While that limits what I can grow, I also have many companion plantings to cover/confuse the smell such as rosemary, winter jasmine, alamanda, basil and lavender.
It still gets dicey at the end of flower for a couple strains I grow for about 2 weeks. Some years they cancel each other out and some years I shit my pants for 2 straight weeks . . . .

There backyard is right next to my greenhouse, but theres hedges and trees that make the nearest someone will come about 10 feet there house is about 30 feet away. I have a fence and they have a fence, and their trees make it very private for me. SMells another story. But they didn't complain last year, so lets hope they don't this year

thats what i'm talkin about right there..i actually have one hell of a spot to grow but the last 2 wks of 12/12 and that smell worries me some.one thing i dont understand. sometimes it smells really strong and other times you cannot smell it at all. recently i cut 4 plants down and they were so strong i had to take em to a friends house to dry..My nearest neighbor's property line is 18' from my grow, his house is 26'. Yeah put on a filter before the end of flower bro its just not worth anyone noticing and gossiping about.
Trust me they notice. Some nonsmokers can smell plants in VEG.
I've built my own.. FUCK THAT...
I've bought the carbon fiber kind, I liked it.. very light.. compact... great design, I think made by the same company that makes these high-end air filters I saw at AutoZone. They are designed to last one grow pretty much..
Last try was a Phresh filter, which I think is the Sunlight Supply/NGW brand... pretty much the basic design of what I built myself years ago. Its so sturdily designed tho that I want to remove the rivets and take it apart... but not to replace the carbon fuck that mess.
Next purchase I dunno.. but it will be two bigass filters way too big for my ducting, so I won't have to restock for two years hopefully.
I am considering an ozone generator on the vent out, but its not recommended to run it continuously right? So I'm wonder whats the point of extra odor once every ten minutes.

i think the are talking about out door plants and smell, be pretty funny setting up a scrubber in the garden.
if i had neighbors that would be smelling my plants near harvest, i'd go and get to know them. drink beer with them and help them out with mundane shit, bring vegetables, what ever. then if ever the smell pisses them off they will come and talk to you first and not to the pigs.

i did the cop at the door ....... he was looking for a "friend" of my son who had run away from home. the carbon filters went up the next day. don't underestimate how much your grow smells to a non smoker ...... it could be a mistake you have a while to sit and think about.
yeah most of the time it's easy to be friendly with neighbors, but some times it can really cost ya. i spent years being nice to a bad tempered old biddy who'd complain about any thing she could. after a couple of years it was time to take a break due to needing the room for other reasons. once my grow was all cleared up, she crossed my path again and was going on about me going to my attic too much and how it was noisy. i bust my top at her and told her it was my attic and i'd go up as much as i felt like and what business is it of hers etc. after years of being polite always, she was shocked, but strangely enough she has been totally nice and easy going ever since. it's like she's another person. she totally needed to be bollocked.

i can just about spit as far as it is . my neighbors are cool about weed no worries. he once called me and told me my garden looked like it needed watering. they dont smoke either

They have this new invention, carbon filler or filzner or some such. Apparently you stuff the whole tube thing up with carbon stuff and it kills smells. It's supposed to be wild.
