Horrible Online Purchase Experience Any Advice Guys?

Well I made a thread awhile ago with some concerns about the amount of time my package was taken to reach the destination even though I paid for Xpress Delivery anyways it took 10 days to be cleared by customs but that turned out fine.

Now my Beef is with this Company that I heard of Off Icmag called www.insidesun.com or Insidesun Company. I went ahead and made my order March 13th for 3 600w HPS and some Oasis Starter Cubes. My money order took 10 days too arrive at the Destination post office for INsidesun.

So Now on April 2nd Almost exactly 3weeks later I get a call from The Courier I sent my money order with saying that my Package is sitting in the Greenwood Indiana Post office and that they had made 2 or 3 attempts to delivery the package to Insidesun without any response. So I was told to maybe give them a call and inform them that the package is waiting at the post office for them. Since Tuesday April 3rd Ive made Numerous attempts to contact Inside Sun Ive left A Message and my Contact info with out any response and have also tried to email them but got a message saying my Email failed delivery to recipent.

I duno what to do now Im basically out $1000 and got a bunch of stuff sitting at my house I cannot use now. Has anyone dealt with Insidesun before and had similar experiences? I dont want to Bash this Company but Ive tried to contact them several times without any response at all.

Yea I guess this is my Best bet I thought I would give them (Insidesun) the benefit of the doubt and try get in contact with them within a week that failed horribly. Anyways very unprofessional experience and left me very wary of online transactions for the future.

My experience has been that online orders get screwed up somehow 50% of the time. Ive had few orders go smoothly. Smoothly means relatively quick shipping, good communication from seller, quality products that dont crap out during warranty, etc. Get used to it!

Essentially you can pay a premium (sometimes a biiiig one) at the local hydro store with no headaches or pay less online with some headaches.

Just have the post office return your money orders to you and take your money elsewhere. MDHydro has great deals on 600w lights.

DO NOT USE THEM. I have been waiting over a month and a half for a very small order. Left numerous emails and voice mails with no response. They suck!

if ya ask me the guy is kiting cash. it took him 4 weeks to send the order out after chargin my card.
i got 3 hydro shops i can drive to and the people are great to deal with. they handle any warranty and problems so they get my cash.
i've used and had great luck with www.growlights.net and www.gtghydroponics.com.

There's a reason InsideSun's name was banned from OG, and the reason is that they screwed a lot of people, you aren't the only one.

I would personally never order from them based on this alone. Not everyone that orders there gets screwed, I've heard of many people getting their stuff in the proper time. However I'm sorry to hear you were one of the people to be screwed.

Good luck getting this manner resolved. I recommend:

bghydrocom
mdhydro.com
plantlightinghydroponics.com
4hydroponics.com

I've ordered from the 1st 3 several times and my friend has ordered from 4hydroponics numerous times and everything has been prompt and fair. Good retailers and some of the best prices (each is cheapest in certain areas)

I think there should be a "sticky warning" about staying clear of insidesun.com on every MJ site on the internet. I have heard countless horror stories about this guy his bad dealings and crappy used lights he peddles. I can't belive he's still out there ripping people off.

I've ordered 3 lights from this guy before he ripped me off $600. After that, two of my three ballasts I had broke down. One started buzzing and making a burning smell. Don't order from him! He also sells lights on ebay, but has been banned at least once. Last I knew his name was something like 360summer, all though that name is probably banned by now too. That guy is total scum and I would love to meet him in person.

Not so sure about their "discreet" shipping methods; roughly about a year ago I purchased some gear from them, and every box came in their original boxes with things like "HYDROPONICS" and "GROW TENT" and whatnot all over them (HydroHut, WaterFarm and ballast boxes). Also came from "BetterGrow Hydro" or similar.

On a recent order, however, the shipping label was discreet.

I agree; the guy there is extremely friendly, offers great customer service and offers discreet shipping. Not to mention free shipping.

I've had pretty good results with MDHydro.com too. On my previous (first) order with them they had everything right except shipping some of the items in a GH nute box (plain 4 x 1 gal box, but had "General Hydroponics" white/green tape still on it). On my recent (second) order, they accidentally short-shipped an item; I contacted MDHydro and they quickly fixed it by sending the short-shipped item AND sent me an extra 600w 6500K MH bulb! Customer service / friendliness is a bit limited, but unbeatable prices on most items and they don't rip you off on shipping either. They also threw in a handful of lighters for free with my order!

Also had a great experience with HydroponicStore.com, where I purchased my HydroTek SilverStar reflector. They offered free shipping over $60 (pretty easy to do with grow items; but their prices aren't the best on most items), did a great job of discreet shipping, and are very friendly.

Those are the major places that comes to mind right now.
