I ment to say gnats actually, i was doing laundry when i realised what i actually said.. lol. thrips are on the leaves.. Some times i smoke too much i swear. I knew what i was trying to say..

I haven't had a gnat issue in a while but i have dunks to try when i do. People sure do rave about them.

HH. So your MG was good eh?! Buggars. Well the only thing consistent about them is how un consistent they are. I an off their stuff for good now, i'll just wait until the good stores are open from now on .

I think the only thing bad with that MG soil is that it holds the water too much. It literally never dried out. I'm gonna have to start searching around for some better quality soils for my indoor grow. Maybe start mixing up my own with worm castings and such.

I see how well mossy's plants grow and I cant figure out why mine aren't taking off

I know you have good grow conditions/temps..
I can see that your veggies grow well in the soil..

so the only thing left really is your starter compo.

I only use Bog-standard Universal Compost.

I never use pre-ferted because I find it stumpies them.

I think its a little to late to get anything else going for this season

I Think that if you can get them to flower..3-4 weeks..
Before your season hits the skids..
they will take just about anything you can throw at them weather wise and still harvest.

I actually think that they Taste better when they have been brought up in the cold...like sprouts...

I will try to see if I can get that same soil you use over here mossy. There are a lot of grow shops popping up everywhere. I am sure they have some kinda of better soil that what I've been getting on sale at wallmart. I just feel skeptical about going in those shops.. Always feel like there is cop watching outside or something. That's why i just got to one of the box stores. They're so busy they cant keep track of what people are buying or what it may be for.
Mossy as far as losing your post, I always copy the text before pressing post. Ive lost too many long posts and that really gets you mad. Always better to be safe than sorry. Here are a few of my fav pics from up deer hunting. Since my camera decided to kill the battery on its own up there ha..

I think I will take your advice Mossy and get one more seed run going before my season is up. The weather stays nice hear till pretty late in the year. Temps for the next couple of days are to be near 100 degrees... I will wait till it cools down before planting my beans as to try not to burn them up. I pollinated a small lower nug of the jungle jems with lowasis yesterday. Hopefully I will be able to get a few beans out of her. It looks like I may have waited a little to late do do this. If anything I will harvest the main top bud and leave the small popcorn bud to make her offspring. I am wondering what happened with those seeds to begin with. At least they should go back to be AF after this....

You will not find it in head-shops HHH.
It is the stuff you would grow your bedding/tomato plants in..
NO ADDED FERTS.
The stuff in head-shops is normally pre-fert..

I just feel skeptical about going in those shops..

Beautiful pics you posted here mossy. I got some more beans started germing yesterday. On the menu for this run are Jems BX1, these were the ones that turned into Jungle Jems. I also planted a few Alf 3's and some Lowasis X LR#2. I mostly want to get some more seeds going for and indoor grow I will start soon. The weather should be perfect germinating weather right now as well. Temps are in the mid 80s all this week. I think the Jungle Jems may be starting to get close to done. They were really kicking out white hairs and have seemed to start slowing down. I will most likely be having some freshly cut buds for when I got back up deer hunting... Its always nice to have some Homegrown buds to puff on up there....

Whats up Guys?
Been busy as ever at my work lately, Working 7 days straight. Haven't even had time to really do anything else... Finally 2 days off today though. I got a few pics of the Jungle Jems. They are starting to ripen nicely. The bigger one is looking like it will finish first. The other smaller one looks to be a week or so behind the bigger one. The smaller plant is the one that got pollinated with some lowasis pollen. I will most likely end up chopping the main top and leaving the small pollinated nug to ripen her beans. I think the bigger of the two is getting close to being done. I went back and checked my thread to see when the jems started to flower.They have been flowering for aprox 7 weeks. I will deff let the smaller one go longer. I may end up chopping a tester nug today so I can check the trichs. I am going up deer hunting next friday so I will most likely chop here at least a few days before that. Don't worry mossy I am charging my camera now so it will be ready when I'm up there. I will be bringing back some nice pics and hopefully some meat for the freezer as well...

Oh I thought you were taking about the smaller plant mossy. The bigger one looks to be starting to turn purple. I wouldn't really say its a pink but we shall see what she does. Yesterday I cut back this bush that was blocking out the sun for them. I cut that bush way back so they should be getting a few more hours of direct sunlight. When I went and check on them this morning the bigger of the two has a slight purple hue to it. All the calyx's have this purple going on. On another note the beans I planted are starting to pop out of the soil. I have a few Jems , Bad Bettys already poking their heads out. The Jems seem to be ahead of all the other beans...

Well It finally came time to harvest one of my jungle jems. I wanted some fresh meds for this weekend when I will be going up deer hunting. I harvested the bigger plant that had the pink tinge to it. I think I could have let her go another week to 10 days more and she would have been better... Its ok though I still have the other white pheno jungle jem that should be getting close by the time I get back from hunting. The buds have a real fruity smell that sticks to your hands after touching them. She deff had a nice coat of trics going on with her. It looks like I will have a few beans from her to play with as well. They were already nice and black looking like they are about to fall out of the buds. Those seeds will be jungle jems back crossed with another jem male. This male was a true auto not like the jungle jems. The other jungle jem that is still growing was crossed with some lowasis pollen. Those should be some interesting and tasty buds... As for the beans I plant a week or so ago, they are all taking off. I had very good germ rates as the weather was in the mid 70s to 80s. I switched to a diff soil and it seems to be working better already, We shall see though... I am about to plant all the new germs in the ground today. I think it will give them a better chance since I will be out of town for 5 days. The weather is forecast to be mild so I am not worried.

Jungle Jem Still Growing

Well I made it back from my 5 day hunting trip. Turned out to be a pretty successful trip. My cousin shot a big deer on opening morning. Then the next night it started raining and continued to rain all day the next day. I ended up shooting a deer in the rain that day. It was erie being in the woods because it was so foggy. You could only see about 60 yards in front of you with the fog so thick. Clothes got all wet but at least I'm going to have some venison to eat. The Jungle Jem I harvested came out very good. Has a sweet pine smell that almost reminds me of a sativa. The taste reminds me a super silver haze or a strawberry cough type of sour taste. I still have the other Jem going and it is looking nice. I want to let it go as long as possible so I get some nice dense buds off of it. The sprouts all look to be doing good as well. I put them all in the ground before i left on my trip. They had some nice mild weather so they didn't get too dried out or too hot.

mossy yeah it was deff a good trip. Now I will have some meat to enjoy till next season hopefully. Deff cant wait to make some shishkabobs mmmm.... That taste is suprsing for me. Maybe some kind of sativa male pollen came from someone elses plant? I would have thought the plants would be bigger considering how long they veged for. Seemed like they kinda stunted out for awhile then just started budding. The other one that is still goin looks to be some grade A smoke as well. I will let it go for another week to ten days. Then maybe check the trichs on her.

Sgs024 - This was one of my better lowasis females. She had a very pleasnt taste to her. I also had a stud lowasis male that I crossed with a LR2 Fem. I have some of those offspring goin right now.

Yeah that lowasis was pollinated since it was my first run. I wanted to make sure I would have more beans to play with. The LR2xLowasis are only about 2 weeks old and are outdoors. They are planted in my garden just like the one in that pic. Hopefully in a few weeks I will get my indoor grow started. I plan on using those lowasis beans so stay tuned.
