Well apparently I didn't get enough well wishes, thanks a lot guys! j/k but we did lose this first pregnancy, I say first because we have one more chance with 2 more frozen embryos. We knew going into this that there was only a 30% chance of success but it still came as such a shock. Everything had been going so smoothly, home pregnancy test, blood tests, ultrasound, everything was good... and then at the 7 week ultrasound the baby only measured 6 weeks big, which wasn't too weird, but then 2 weeks later at the next ultrasound the baby only measured 6 weeks 3 days. The intended parents are staying positive, they reminded us that this embryo was not genetically fit to survive, better that it happened very early in term. Anyway wish us luck on the next one :)

All through teens and up all my friends got chicks preggo like crazy and then I met this chick who actually wanted a kid , not bein greedy....just 1 and she'd be happy but despite being young and mostly healthy (don't know what prevented and never asked) her and her hubby just couldn't. It made me realize then how we the virile take such things for granted. It was sad kinda cause they had money but money can't change some things.....anyway thats an awesome and truely selfless thing to do for another person whomever they may be.

+1 to you and yours

Giving this a little bump to see how things are going/went.

Regardless of the outcome, your (your wife and you) selfless act remains high on the list of kindnesses ever offered.

Hey thanks, so we're waiting 2 cycles before starting the next and final round of embryo transfer. My wife was super emotional about losing the first one even though we knew it would be just a 30% chance of success. It's bittersweet: if she gets preggo then I lose my smoking buddy again!

Well enjoy the smoking buddy for a bit. Then it's back to ice cream and pickles etc. That is such an awesome and selfless thing to do bro! Much respect to you and the family. Tell her we said stay strong.
