ah I see, yeah I'll be following this thread, seeing as its going to be almost just what I'm doing


im gonna be looking into 2 maybe 3 plants...hydro system, in a pc grow case...just ordered 3 55w CFL's so I'm expecting some pretty nice yields (for 2 to 3 plants I mean). keep up the good work, looking forward to seeing how this plays out.

once I get those lights in and the hydro system set up I'll start my own log.

I'm getting anxious to throw a clone in here.. But the space issues need to be cleared up. I ripped out the power supply today and the lights also.. Now there's a hell of a lot more room to work with.. What is the easiest way to horizontally mount sockets? Am I going to have to build a bracket?

Molex Converter Ordered one of these, to keep the controller in the case.. I will build a false cardboard wall where the power supply should mount, and have an 80mm fan exhausting up there.

Well, the case is being completely redone and rewired.. The lights will be installed horizontally from the front and rear of the case, I wish I could hang them vertically but the bulbs are too big to allow for a plant. Hopefully I will get around to actually installing the lights tomorrow, the case will be ready before the end of the week. First plant to go in will be a Dutch Dragon, until I can get some lowryder seeds.

What's the deal with your scrubber?

Is there a filter on the intake as well?

There are 2 intakes on the side panel, unvented, but light trapped. The two fans you see in the picture are filtered exhausts.. The lower right one will be rebuilt for efficiency when needed.

dont have any intake fans, cuz the carbon scrubber outtake fans cant flow enough..creating positive pressure, so the intake fan you have will blow air thru between and out of the cd/dvd rom bays and other places, just use output fans, use that intake fan to move the dead air around the plants, positive pressure=more heat, air leaks. negative pressure=cooler temps, no air leaks. and yes, having negative pressure decrease bulb temp by about 2-3c...i assume its the same delta as a cpu heatsink maybe

I'm still working on it, but it's 80% better than it was originally, trust me =]. I just haven't had the time to work out something 100% lightproof.

The Dutch Dragon clone now has a home in my case, however, I think it's way bigger than it should be.. Should this fail, I have a Northern Lights and Pineapple Kush lined up that I can hopefully train while smaller. Will throw up a picture tonight.
