i was helping a friend fix up his house once when i was painting the the walls. i was down on my knees and a few feet above there was a shelf with sharp edges. i wasn't paying that much attention to what i was doing so when i finished the job i started to stand up and i banged my head hard right on the corner. i had a huge gash that wouldn't stop bleeding. it bled for atleast 2 1/2-3 hours which is normal for a head gash. my friend said it was worse than he was letting on because he didn't want me to freak out and go into shock or something. there was nothing i could do but hold a towel to the wound because the nearest hospital is atleast 45 minutes to an hour away so stiches were out of the queston. it was really nasty because we hadn't got running water in the house yet and so couldn't shower. i had longer hair back then too so i had a crusty dried blood in it for like a week until i went home. it was ****ing miserable.

i had long hair plus some of it was dreaded so duct tape was outta' the question haha and the dread locks made the crusty blood look extra nasty. whenever i would drive into town people to get supplies or something for the house people would be like "wtf just happened to you"
