Pics were taken yesterday, 7/25/13 Things are going smooth ;-) Almost has been flowering for three weeks

Your plant's been flowering for 3 weeks and there's hardly a pistil in sight. Also there's mold all over the surface of the coco and all over the outside of the smart pot, as well as the droopy leaves. Have you been watering them everyday by any chance? Too much watering can cause these symptoms.

Just my 2c

Theres gotta be pre-flowers on it by now dude. Is there a teardrop shaped thing with 2 white hairs sticking out of it where the branch meets the main stalk?
Or are there green coconut looking things hanging off it?
After 4-5 weeks in veg most plants will show preflowers at the 6th node up.
I would def put that in a 5gln pot. It is rootbound now.
2 more gallons of soil will add much more health, vigor, and increase yield.

Hey everyone! Thanks for tuning in!-everyone except Grassott'sdad haha! I am gonna just let him think what he wants... I believe that is salt build up, I am not worried about it-but thanks. And yes I am watering every day, and all my coco ladies love it! You can see in the pistols forming in the canopy shot actually, maybe get yer' eyes checked?

Jochen: I can't wait to try her out myself!

Alone: Yeahr, she's a she for sure! ;-) Transplanting at this stage I don't think is a good thing.

Again, thanks for tuning in-have a good one guys and gals! :peacock:

Ooooohhh bitchy remarks. In another thread you said we was brothers, so can't I help another brother out?

You "believe" that is salt build up, so you're not worried about salt build up? My eyes are fine and where I come from our 3 week bud looks like this:-
picture.php

It's shark shock from mr nice seeds (great genetics, perhaps you should go get some), grown under a 400w bulb in canna pro coco 2gal hb's and as you can see, there's more pistils in that pic than on your whole plant, and it's got resin too.

Not only that, I reckon you should ditch that plant coz at a 2nd glance I reckon it's gonna herm in a coupla weeks time.

Sorry Grassottdadee, you brought it upon yourself... Thanks for the info, now why dont you go take a hike! I am pretty sure that isn't 3 weeks, and I said almost the three week mark. Also-you are growing an 8 week strain whereas I am growing a 10 week strain

Don't worry I won't tell you where you're going wrong again "brother" and sorry for trying to help. Peace :comfort:

ehhh... grassott's dad- that is normal for smart pots to get a layer of mold on the outside. sign of a really heathy biology going on in the root zone, and that the soil is staying moist all the way through. smart pots can get air into the root zone even if they are moist, they dont HAVE to dry on the outer layer to still work. most soil biology reproduces with spores, so the outer mold its way of getting them out into the world and a sign of a decent amount of air flow because molds wont sporulate unless they can get their spores out into the environment. ive pulled over 50 oz from a single 1kw consistently, and all of the 2g smarties exhibited the exact same thing.

and bobbo4200- it doesn't matter if its a ten week strain, they should still be flowered more than that at 2 weeks, much less 3. i run several 12-13 weekers and they look more developed at day 14 than yours at almost 3 weeks. grassott might be on to something telling you to be on the lookout for herms. both of the parents in the strain you are running are pretty bad to herm. you don't have to pull the root ball out of the smart pot to transplant it, if you just set the whole pot into a bigger container it should put roots through the cloth. i dunno how much more root growth you can expect considering you are ~3 weeks in, but any more root mass would probably help.

be civil to each other, fighting through your egos won't let either of you learn from each others experience.

I will watch and see... What nutes are you running Indiana? I am using Flairform Greendream Grow and Bloom with their Budstorm. I am not sure if they are the best. Next time around I am gonna try something different. Are your ladies spread apart, or close together? Mine are unfortunately crammed into a 4 x 4 tent. What is your secret to the quick flowers? I asked someone on the site before-but all they told me was: Praise to grow up to be big girls lol. How much runoff do you have? I usually just let mine sit, and it is all sucked up-gone the next day. Thanks for the info.

Grassott: Sorry meng... Nice flowers-btw

when growing in soilless coco mediums- h3ad's 6:9 formula, with 3mL of liquid karma or humboldt's roots added per gallon. they seem to really like the extra humics and fulvics.

I usually don't do runoff, well maybe a little, but while that works for me it may not for everyone else. My personal opinion is that if you don't overfeed, runoff isn't as necessary. That's why I do an alternating feed/water/tea schedule.

I do one watering with nutes, one just plain water. then every other go around, they get a tea.

tea recipe per ten gallons-
1/3 cup molasses
1 cup alfalfa
1 cup kelp
1 cup compost (or a combination composts- leafgro, castings, composted animal manures)

that makes my watering schedule-
h3ad's 3:6:9
plain water
tea
plain water
h3ad's 3:6:9
plain water
back to top of list

usually takes about 2 days for them to need water again, so that list takes approximately 2 weeks to go through.

no real secret to quick flowers, just give 'em what they need and show 'em proper attention/care and they will show the love right back to ya.

i cram 'em in there, with 8 inch smart pots in a 4'x6' space, you can get 54 under a 1kw.
that's how you can pull 3 lbs + from a kw, good strains and good plant numbers. even if you fuck up a plant here and there you still get the yields you need, where as if you mess up a 5g plant under a kw, it is a pretty good chunk of your yield.

Do any of you use the Shock Flower method? I guess Im going to re-think the runoff deal...

Grassott: Any advice on getting nuGlet's by the third week? Thanks again everyone

The example posted was grown in a hempy bucket, following hempys instructions and no one elses:

Also, you need good genetics, good hydro nutes (drop the teas and use hydro nutes only if growing hb, we use canna) and don't listen to any online wannabes.

Most important of all, learn from the plant.

Shock flowering works well for me but some people think it's strain dependent. I get white hairs coming out between days 7 to 10

RD: I try to Shock flower when I can. Sometimes they grow too tall for my box that I put them under lol

I will get some pics of the Hippy Stash tomorrow night, and post them in the next couple of days.
