The Hindu Kush mountain range is on the border of Afghanistan and Pakistan and also goes into Tajikistan.Hindu Kush implies India, but the Himalayas are in Pakistan, China, India, and a few other countries.
This thread is about a very specific western-acclimatized cultivar. Considered as Afghani but if it is really from Chitral then it would actually be from Pakistan.
But the history with the Brits makes it all more complex. Chitral was an independent state until they included in to what was then India...
