wow.

you said sativa-dom line, could you go into more detail about its heritage? def doesn't look like a sativa landrace... is this 100% derived from nepali landrace? sorry if the info's avail elsewhere just givin ya a chance to talk 'em up though ;)

I don't know a ton about this line other than what u see in this and the test grow thread.. I wish I knew more.. likely just a nice heirloom hybrid from the area, definately not an unadulterated pure sativa landrace.. but definately sativa dominant in growth/structure, but I grow alot of pure/mostly/cabbagy indicas which perhaps makes it harder for me to see the indica in these..

something with much more raw sativa in it than C99 etc, definately a different odor than anything I've ever had, very strange, but I predict good, in terms of taste etc.. likewise I expect the high to be more refined than something like c99 or other fast sat-doms i've grown/seen..

thanks for the opportunity to plug it up, I wish i knew more.. don't know anything on where they were originaly sourced from in nepal.. But she does remind me in someways to some indian sativas, i could see perhaps a dose of chinese or afghan indica many yrs back.. hard to say, and i've speculated enough already :D

btw beancounter i really like the small pots. masterful efficiency. i grow in bottles of only about 1L of useful substrate to produce short single cola plants, if it's something special it gets a 2L coke bottle with about 1.75L of substrate, lol... microgrowing... but that is very impressive... got any root shots out of the can at chop? can you even see the substrate through the roots?

very glad u enjoy the smaller pots aswell, i find square pots make another big difference on how small u can go..

I don't have any root pics, and the root ball was just busted up last night when i cut the rest of the plant.. but to answer yer question, nah, i could see the substrate/medium, but it was well rooted and making good use of the soil..

I have had many solid white rootballs come up before, but usualy from leavin' seed plants in 3" pots during veg for too long.. If that happens I slash the corners jus a touch on the rootball(square pots don't make the roots circle around the pot, it's much dif, and could use a different thread to explain the difference), plant in my final pot, and veg until I see a good amount of roots on the bottom and the plant has incorporated the new medium into the old rootball.. then flower.. unless the plant is outside or done in hydro I found that I was wasting tons of medium using 5 gals, or even 3 gals.. 2 gals max now, altho I've done my fair shair of 7 gallon trees and would do them again if it fit the situation best..

it's all about using what works best for each grower.. it takes time to find your own sweetspot in each gro..

hey BC how are you! thanks for sharing your report with us, sounds and looks killer! they dont call it hashplant for nothing lol.
i really dig how you mannage to keep such a big plant in such a small pot. how many litters is the pot?? looks like 4-5L? I still dont understand how the plant does not get all stressed/rootbound?

thanks, actualy, that's about a 2 real liter pot, so 1/2 a gallon, if that.. when I say real I mean that 'gardening liters/gallons' are almost always exagerated.. put a 1 gallon 6" round pot next to a 1 gallon milk jug to see what I mean.. then the stores will also call all 6" squares, which are almost always smaller/shallower than the 6" round 1 gallon.. give it a try sometimes and compare yer pots to actual measured containers.. my 5 gal pots are NO where near the size of my 5 gallon buckets..

as long as u feed/water them consistantly they will be fine in any high quality medium.. Any of the Promix bales (especialy BX/HP) and any of the Sunshine Mix bales (#1 or 4 specifically), FFOF, any good peat based soiless can be fed/watered almost as frequently as coco and provide very close results as 'hand watered hydro'.. jus work down in pot sizes if u desire, you'll find a sweet spot.. I like watering alot as it allows me to adjust my nutes quickly to fix problems etc..

i think a run in the tumbler would do some justice. then hand pressed mmmmm stuff will be yummy, i dont see a pic of the male when hes older in that thread.

maybe a run indeed, as they don't produce a ton of trim like the cabbage plants do.. that 1 plant yeilded trim like ECSD, sparingly.. I think these plants are made for handrubbing personaly, it jus makes so much sense after you looked at the trimming gloves..

yes, u are right, no older male shotz.. sorry.. once he was sexed he got pruned back (as you can see in some of those pics) like i do with all my males.. he was just like all the other sat doms really tho, no real difference.. when I grow out my next ones i'll try to get u some older male pics..

to all the others I didn't address individually, thank you for your compliments and I apreciate your interest.. No smoke report yet but soon, the samples my bro trimmed are almost dry, so an initial test soon.. stay tuned..

Ahh yes, the good ol NHP.
tis a good line with a bit of variance yet in the smoke dept, all good variance tho ;)

for the question of purity: NHP has been undilluted since I obtained it. indica style nugs on a sativa/hybrid structured plant, and a decent bloom time.. was a love at first sight when I first seen her..

Ill try and dig up some picks of her from a while ago.

peace folks, bub.

thanks folks.. nycd, i wouldn't call this one an indica, but i think u know that.. u seed junky :D

Anyways, i enjoy the smoke alot, almost a sour fruity dankish taste.. hard to explain.. maybe I'll get a better baseline on her after i finish the other 3 plants.. It's got a nice uplifting high, and unreal bag appeal..

Here's the next plant to come down at 54 days.. i'll likely let her go another week or so even tho she's showing a bunch of amber..

All 4 of my fems have been grown in different rooms and dif styles of lighting
so i think there's alot of differences from enviro.. altho they all have the same smell.
