It's certainly a shame that good quality hash is no longer available in Britain, with gang violence and thug mentality ruling the roost, particularly with the UK being an island and having strict border control, whereas in Europe the Belgians, French, Germans etc near the border go to the Netherlands for their gear, and good hash is readily available in Spain.
It's true The Grasshopper in Eindhoven has good Moroccan, especially since it's Moroccan owned and run, with a lot of the customers being Moroccan too.
It is indeed worth drawing a distinction between The Grasshopper in Amsterdam, which as you say is a tourist trap, selling low grade herb & hash at high prices, and The Grasshopper in Eindhoven which is totally separate and sells good quality at good prices....also without the drunk rowdy customers and rude staff at The Grasshopper in A'dam!
The owners and some customers at The Grasshopper in Eindhoven recommended the "Kristal" hash, which is the second hash pictured on page one of this thread, and at 8 Euro a gram, it's very good value. It's a bit harsher on the throat than the other hashes I tried, but the high is good and it bubbles nicely
I also wanted to try their Caramello, which is also very good - a more racy and sativa high than the Kristal.
