I am surprised to hear that Chrystal was the best of the gardens! It seems that it held quite a bit of good company, and still came out at #1!!
Thanks alot man! I too am suprised that some $20 nirvana genetics ended up being the star plant:confused:....

Is funny how those $20 Nirvanna "Chrystals" did the wild thing for you this year over the rest ....that would be an older Northern Lights cross with White Widow , then crossed back again with NL that they (Nirvanna) came up with .

Love to see some real up close pics but also looking forward to hear more from the outdoor growers of all that they learned looking back ...the nute schedules they followed & soil prep with the things they found working good and the new approaches and adjustments they might make for next year . Reaching the fullest potential & getting the plants to stack/resin up achieving as close to indoor looks is an art not easily achieved outdoors ...unless blessed with some stellar genetics & girls that decide to just blow you away .

Love to hear a little more of what worked the best this year and strain selection for next . Be great to hear more from outdoor growers during the off season of all the tricks they have learned from experience and little changes they plan to make for the next grows prep .

Great job FP , you really pulled them in his year ! Also looking forward to your 8kw grow with those TW/NL's hope they bang out some nice dank colas for ya !

regards

;o)

Damn impressive grow man, I shudder at the amount of work that went into it, but 20lbs is a very worthwhile reward, especially as the quality looks just as good as if you'd grow a coupla plants in the backyard where you could check em every day!

Great work man, you really deserve to enjoy all that bud.

Hey Fastpine.....just curious: how did you make out with your late season plots of the swiss miss. Was it able to bloom in time. BTW, your grow was awesome and thats understatement. Too bad it couldnt be a full length movie, alot of great scenery and alot of great drama.

OK, in my best Chris Tucker voice: "Daaaaaaaaaaaaamn!!!!"

What an inspirational grow. You really put in the back-breaking effort there, Mr. Fast Pine. Congrats on your success, and I'll be watching for your indoor and next season, too.

Wow! Very nice display of your skills Fastpine! Im going to have to learn more about irrigating myself so Im ready for this next season. And how to apply it to my type of situations. (Grows) Water is critical when trying to grow large plants.

Fast Pine awesome thread and excellent pictures. Sorry to hear about your neighbor friend "Mr. M" who died and you had to go in the house to let the people in to get him. :fsu:

I have a question about the Swiss Miss, I saw you had some stunt on you and I saw you had a 10 footer you couldnt harvest in time, you are at 36 degrees? But high elevation? How much difference climate wise will 40 degrees normal elevation be for growing the Swiss Miss out? I plan on growing Swiss Miss this year as I see it flowers pretty fast and high yield according to Nirvana. Do you think the only reason you couldnt harvest the Swiss Miss was because of the early stunting? Its too bad you couldnt get that monster girl to finish for you.

Has anyone ever harvested Nirvana's Swiss Miss? What was the finished, properly cured product like? FP did you get any pre-mature Swiss Miss buds? How did they look?

Any links to Swiss Miss grows? I need to get better at using the search feature, I never seem to find what Im looking for.

Nice!!!!!

Nice!!!!!

Where has this thread been hiding, this is great and 8500ft must produce big yields and great quality. How cold does it get at night?and how long does it take to run a 10 pack threw that trimpro,i heard those can do one P every 12 minutes.

Thanks man...

The swiss was weird....eventhough it came in a sealed breeders pack, I still dont think I grew the real swiss miss....What I grew was rediculously sativa dominant.....Was almost like a sick joke someone tried to play...(put heavy sative seeds in a pack of earlys....

I saw that she was super sativa fron the start, so I refrained from planting too many of em..

I figure that it would be wise for you tp pass up the SM, and look for something else...

If you already have it, grow it, just watch out if it looks real sativa dominant, they will need till late Oct, or Nov to finnish...

Thanks for answering Fast Pine. Yes, I already got it and I've popped 7 beans just the other day, I still have the other 3. I hope I dont run into problems finishing it. I got some other things going this year but I was hoping this one would finish up quick for me.

Thanks again

8500ft is nice...It makes the product much more resinous....Yields,,,Well the season is super short...So yields are good if you have enough plants..Its hard to get monsters at that altitude beacuse you have ~1month to veg...

This year's thread (vol2), will have spots that are much higher than ive ever dared to plant....Should be fun...I have alot of new methods for this year. The grow will be nothing like last year..

I have a huge Jamacan Pearl, been vegging her for months now,,,Gonna put her out in June. I hope to have a monster bush, kinda like one of tom hills..Gonna go all organic with her, and hopefully keep all the tops for personal smoke, come October...That JP is some killer gear!!

The trimpro, well its hard to say. Some guys could probably do quite a fiew pounds off one machine...It really depends on size and density....Popcorn takes exponentially longer....i.e, a small crew could do roughly 20 a day, provides that it was all top nugg....No small stuff. The small stuff slows down the opp alot..Its also alot more dangrous(fingers get closer to grill)..Which is why I think they made the automatix..(to handle the popcorn)......

Tom Hill recommend the stainless grill for the machine...He says it gets the trim much closer....I recently broke my trimpro, so I guess Ill order the stainless with my new one...($1500 mistakes are shitty)..

I have to say, in the field, with everthing going on around us, we definantly werent doing anything close to a Lb in 12 min....Thats reeeeeeel fast.

I have to say, the biggest problem with the trimpro, and a large, remote guerilla patch is that the plants need to be trimmed wet. The machine doesent process dry material, which means you have to "trim it as it comes down"...You cant pull the whole crop at once,,,,Just enough for that day of harvesting..If you dont live really close to the patch, you have to set up shop in the field, which is not good for many reasons...

Great grow Fast pine.
about the finishing times. Silverback recently posted a thread about forced flowering and late season minis. 60/60was the title. As soon as his clones have roots he starts 12/12 light cycle for 2 weeks. establishing root system, hardening off and triggering bloom. Depending on your latitude is what will determine the day/time of year its safe(wont start to reveg) to put outdoors.
ex. lat46 july 14th-ish. with the jump start of 2 weeks into bloom and natural day length the plants will be done 45-50 days later.(depending upon strain obviously) Also does not need to be fresh clones could be 3 ft tall bushes you start with 2 weeks 12/12 though. Have not tried personally but plan to this year for sure. Just thought id share. seemed relevant. :2cents:
