That purple though, man is she a purdy subject. How long are you going to take her?

She is sexy for sure lol. With these it will be just about 8 wks (1 1/2 wks more), don't shoot me but I don't scope....yet.....I go by what their telling me, hairs, leaves, production, etc... they will probably if scoped be all cloudy with 10-20 Amber.
Tell you the truth Art I wouldn't mind running a couple a bit longer and harvest at different times to see where the sweet spot lies....... but then again others are calling for the room so we will see.

Here's a close up on a k2, she's a frosty gal.

You'd be surprised. My plant that was completely faded yellow purple that looked more than done had clear heads everywhere. Chopped her anyways just so I could shut down. $20 for a scope.

A scope is a good investment with out a doubt, and yes if rely on just what the plant is showing in fade then a lot can be missed.

I take and evaluate all the signs a plant shows, hairs, resin production/color, leaf fade, water consumption, etc.. and sometimes room in the room lol....... and of coarse according to ones taste.
Familiarity with a strain helps of coarse, you get to a point with it where you can just glance at it and know how much longer.

If you don't have a scope and have binoculars you
Can flip them over and use it till you get a scope. I
Have a nice scope but donr use it, I probably use one

Well since we're on the subject, I saw around 10-20% ambers with lots of milky heads so I chopped it down. I posted a pic and was told it was taken early. The pic is five days before chop and she yellowed out completely in a blink of an eye. Here's the pic:

That looks nice, how did you like it? That's all that matters.
How long did you flush, it's tricky to get the timing for when to flush and for it to finish perfectly at the right time. IMO it's all about personal preferences.

Flushing def can be tricky. Id get a scope just to look at the pretty fields of trichs if nothing else. $16 at BAM! across the river. Same one I use for my macros.

Everything else is looking mighty fine. I could use a surgery myself - a winter-ectomy!

Thanks Billy, binoculars huh.... I'll try that, if only to amuses myself lol.
A scope is in my future, gotta get one that takes pics, just never think of it when at the shop.

Thanks Wild, is that an elected surgery.... lol. Yeah I'm just about done with winter.... bring on the mud and frost heaved roads, it's rodeo time haha.

Well, I leach my soil for 3 weeks and all it gets is a mild EWC tea. They yellow when they're ready...usually. Vapor said to have clean white ash to not feed them the last 3 weeks. I have been getting early yellowing but I think I need more potassium and phosphorus at week four so some of my buds have been small and some have been decent sized. I'm trying to find a balance with each one.

I am really enjoying this one, you don't have to rub on her to get a whiff of her strong scent.... Hard to pin down all of it but it is sweet/fruity with a nice spicy/fuel behind it.
She gets right down to business with flowering shows to be ahead of the Khalisi in the same cab.
I cloned her a couple times, hoping she turns out as great as anticipated . I plan on running a couple OD this year.

Here are some Purple Nocturnals vegging out nicely, bushy as all hell with plenty of vigor. I also cloned these with the same intentions this summer.
Not 100% on where I am going to flower these two yet...... either in the room or in a cab.

Thankfully, springs on her way. My veg cab is screaming for some room which hopefully will come when I kick some outdoors.

Harvesting time, flushing and fading.... looking good and smelling great.
First up is Khalisi #6, smells of sweet fruity grape with a spicy back ground.

#2, easily one of my favorites, a nice grape smell with a strong spice to it, great smoke for socializing or couch lock.

So this is the first round in the new room under HID's, taking note now that things progress faster than under cfl's, so instead of the 3 gallons I will be going with larger pots with more amendments (seeing how the fade has come on faster then in the past. But all in all things have come out pretty good, I'm happy, but there is always room for improvement lol.
