Gonna do a garden shed grow, so I can get off the teet of corpo medicinal. Anyone can point me in the direction for environmental controls in this type of set up, I would much appreciate it. Obviously gonna go have a good read on the forums here, but any shortcuts would be sweet. Printed resources would be cool too. Thanks!

sounds interesting
when you say shed, is this a green house style one that you can see through or an enclosed shed like you would store tools in?

Like the tool shed kind. So, steel outer construction, but the grow room will be done by a second internal structure. I guess kinda like a grow tent, but made of wood and plaster, with insulation batts to keep the temp more stable than the ambient external, as well as the ambient of the shed itself (the part that's not the grow room) hope that makes sense. Only major problem I haven't solved yet, is heating cooling in case the insulation doesn't do a good enough job. I mean heating is easy enough to take care of, but cooling is something that there doesn't seem to be a simple ready-made solution for. I was thinking of using earth pipes for a bit, but they require too much construction (needs 25m of pipe, buried at 1.5m depth).

temps would be my biggest concern
if you are growing in an enclosed shed you will need to use lights and lights give off heat
leds give off less heat but you will still need to work out some air exchange solution
best of luck mate!

Yeah I looked in to earth pipes as a solution, they could work based on some studies and design docs I came across, but probably a bit too much of a hassle to install. Would require excavating 5 x 5m, to a depth of 1m (1.5-3m depth ideally). Already been delayed a few months with pouring the slab (I'm pretty heavily disabled, compared to what I used to be and what would be necessary to use machinery for the time needed to excavate that much soil), so I'll have to keep it in the back pocket for sheddy v.2 hehe. Air exchange will probably be in-ground pipes, just nowhere near the scope of heating/cooling 'earth pipes'.
