What's new

Hey Ace updated the website 2016

Hi everyone as you can see that the seeds from Delicatessen they're some or all 100% sativa and they're ready in 7 to 9 weeks?!?! Can someone school me? Lol

Crossing lilly or queen mother with a purple haze sounds good to me??

It's a nice update and it's good to see also Cannabiogen and Delicatessen on the Ace site.
Does this mean there's a collaboration going on or did maybe Ace buy the other two seedbanks?

Too bad I already got the seeds for my next run, otherwise I'd try some Delicatessen sativas and the newest Snow Moon by Ace, looks very tempting.
Probably next time.

CBG sold delicatessen on their own site for a while, I would imagine its just a product expansion among like-minded breeders. For those looking at original delicatessen, I've grown out the alice and queen mother so far and the alice is one of my favorite scent/taste profiles in a long time if you're into sweet/fruity/flowery type bud. Currently have upstream going.

Hey 2000pm. What were your thoughts Queen Mother?

It was pretty easy going not too picky on nutes iirc. She stretched a lot in flower I do remember that. Decent yield on mine with purple hues - shared seeds with a friend who had similar results with varied purple/red type finishing coloration.

Taste/smell is like a "sweet purple/red forest berry" type scent maybe with a background of winey grapes - delicatessen's fruit terpene profile is a good change of pace from the "usual" suspects out there but I find it hard to nail down what they smell like.

Ha totally left that part out didn't I? Well I broke out the last of my QM for a vape test just for you. Do note that this specimen was cut down on 2/28/15, almost a year ago so effects from volatile terps have gone and the report will be based on a near year-cure. It is also the one single seed I have grown out so far so all notes are reserved for this pheno only.

Taste is a perfume, flowers, sophisticated red/purple fruit hard candy or something, Maybe something a little bitter licorice or anise like in the back end. Definitely not one-dimensional.

Slight eye pressure, little bit of eyelid droop. It isn't a buzzy sativa, but more on spacey, dreamy head high effect for me. It is not slowing by any means though, this is definitely an "up" sativa effect overall. It slows and evens out my breathing and puts me in the zone. There is a body lightening/floating/relaxation. In short, more euphoric than electric.

This is one of those cultivars that enhance the auditory experience and music sounds more expansive on it. Instant soundstage enhancement! The effects offer a good body-mind connection without being buzzy; more stretching/yoga weed than house cleaning weed but it wouldn't stop me if I wanted to.

Its a good effect for sure, decent power but nothing special in my book. Has good lasting power though. Fades away fairly cleanly - not 100% baseline clear but clean. I will be growing it again at some point and doing a better job on it hopefully with a few more specimens to poke through.

As for something smelling like shit but only caring about the high, I'm almost the opposite. If the high is acceptable but the smell/taste profile is top notch I'll likely pick it over something stronger but with weak terpene characteristics - I'm growing for myself not buying from someone I can always just smoke some more or concentrate it! :D

can anyone help please if the delicatesson are f1's ?

like does "stabalised hybrid" mean they are f3+ or something ?

or just that they offer predictable phenos, in a f1 generation for customers?

thanks

F1 should have uniform phenos, but is not stable. This can be seen in the f2, not uniform anymore. So stabalised hybrid means further down the line, I'd guess something like f4-6.

In a few months Malawi x PCK will be available in standard and fem format too, pure PCK fem too.
As you can see, we have been busy with seed reproductions.

Hi not real geroi,

I like CBG 's Delta 9 a lot and have been using it for at least 10 years .... but i'm not sure if we will sell it through our website ... the logistics and transport costs to ship fertilizers worldwide are expensive so i must check if it's worth, but it's an interesting idea, thanks!

Hi Neighbor1234,

Original Delicatessen is specialized in fast flowering sativas with refined fruity aromas, that's the work line of his breeder and the company.
Some of their fast flowering hybrids are indeed done in 8-9 weeks of flowering.

Thanks Koodense,

I'm also very happy to have the chance to distribute genetics from other breeders i like and respect.

Each bank is independent. At ACE website we are just helping CBG and OD to distribute their seeds.

I will collaborate with kaiki by sharing my best pure oaxacan selections, but there are no joint projects for the close future between the companies.

Hi Collembola,

I think most of the Delicatessen strains (Upstream, Queen Mother, Lilly, etc ....) are quite inbred, i think only a few like Alice are F1s.

I've tried to contact Mario (Original Delicatessen breeder) to try to get better and more complete descriptions of their strains, as some of their descriptions don't even comment properly about the taste or effect, something i cannot really understand for a description. Hopefully, he will replie soon but not sure ... he likes to stay most of the time 'in the dark'.
