hermies... advice appreciated

So I'm on my second grow. I started with 3 plants, 1 eneded up being male (too bad bc it was fast as hell in veg) and the other two i thought were male but realized today that they were hermies... as far as strains they are a grab bag between 6 different nirvana strains, but yeah... My first grow produced 2 males, and 2 females, it was a rather low yield, but whatever, it was my first grow(no hermies). So now that i have 2 hermies, and another 2 months until i have anything that will be able to be flowered i think i am going to flower out the hermies... pinching off pollen sacs when possible...
I realize i will get loads of seeds, and that these seeds will most likely produce hermie plants, but i figure that it is worth flowering them out to get whatever bud i can get from them, hell it(the bud) will prolly be better than the mexican brick weed that i usually get up here.
So here is where i need advice... does this sound like a good plan? Will a good scrub down of my flowering box be enough to prevent this hermie pollen from contaminating future grows?

thaks for all help

Hi Bob

Hi Bob

We are in the same boat.

I found 6 males and I think one could be hermie. I will have to keep checking.
This is my Second Grow as well.

I made a mistake but in future grows I will SEX Before I spend the time and effort and money, doing it the way i did.

So lesson learned.

I am flowering the Males under some low wat floro CMF and I'm not sure of the hermi, if I have to pull it cause its male or hermie I will be left with 3 plants to flower.  :(

If it is hermie I'm killing it. I might keep as a male and flower them for Pollen and test the High for further Father Plants. Then It's time to buy Bubble bags.
I'd at least MOVE the hermie to another local and try Floro untill it's done.

Or kill it. If you have NO females at all
I would flower it what thell you'll have good smoke as you say. I'm the same with Swag brick.

But I'd like to know if Pollen travles far and wide, will it get into my flower room about 20 feet away, should I change clothes and shower before I go in my real flower room after screwen with the men?

Also would we need to spary the room down after pollen collection and harvest to prevent contamination in the future?

Great question Bob
Hope we get some other answers.

Hey BobDull, you should be ok as long as you spray and wash your box well,
i would use a solution of bleach or hydrogen peroxide or something give it a clean and let it dry and do it again and you will be ok at most you may get a cpl of seed's in your next crop but if cleaned well should not be a prob ;)

sinful, yes bro change your clothes and shower when your boy's are spunkin it go's everywhere it will travel 20 feet no prob and stick to ya like glue  and after you done with em as i said to bob spray and wipe EVERYTHING with bleach or h2o2 and let it dry and do it again and you should be fine ;)

i take it you both got proper full on genetic herm's?? not late flower/stress herm's??? ;)

the hermies are probobally stress formed... there are light leaks in my current setup, but since i got away with them during my first grow i didn't bother to do anything about it... I am building a box for these to finish flowering in, no leaks, should be a fully controlled environment, and best of all a smaller space so my light will be more concentrated, and hopefully give me a better yield than my last grow

thanks for the advice all... i will just clean hte box out very well after these are done

It is my understanding that hermie plants produce feminised seeds. I wouldn't mind getting a hermi out of my outdoor crop.
