Greetings from Barcelona. I´m sitting at an Internet cafe near the Picasso Museum nearing the end of our two weeks here. Had a great time and had little trouble scoring. First I tried the head shop off La Ramblas (thanks Shiva). It´s called La Mota. He sent me to Raval (near the tres chimneys) where I got more hash than I have been able to smoke for 50 Euros from some friendly skateboarders my son´s age. Later, our apartment agent tracked down some nice outdoor sativa - also 50 Euros. Tasty stuff, that will run out before we leave. Anyway, I´ll report again with pics when I get back to Canada. Adios!

I'm back in Canada and, as promised here are a few souvenir pics from Barcelona. The first pic is of the hash I got on day 3 from some skateboarders. I lied earlier. I did manage to finish all the hash but I resorted to eating some of it on my last two nights (sweet dreams).

The second pic is of the herb I got a couple of days later. A nice tasty sativa. I found 3 seeds but left them behind. My season would probably be too short anyway - there's no palm trees growing in southern Ontario! Both the hash and the herb were 50 Euros each (about $75).

Finally, here's a shot of some ganja plants growing on a third floor balcony on the same street our apartment was on - and just a few hundred meters from the Policia. They respect the notion of private property in Spain! In just two weeks I noticed an increase in size of these young plants.

All in all Barcelona was a great city to visit. As a cyclist, it was a revelation. The Bicing Bike program is amazing but for residents only. We brought our own bikes. As a Canadian, where anything two hundred years old is ancient, the idea of wandering medieval streets built on top of two thousand year old Roman ruins is mind boggling. It's right in the Barri Gotic though tough to find as it is mostly underground, but a trip to the Museu d'Història de la Ciutat is worth the effort. All the museums were great and our road trip to Figueres to see the Dali Museum and to Port Ligat to his summer house were suitably surreal.

Best of all, the laid back Spanish attitude to herb made me feel right at home!
