Hi gp I followed the thread and glad to see things pulled through... A few thing come to mind
I have misted plants at nit with neem oil (organic) all the way to harvest with no visible decrease in potency or flavor. It is a powerful fungicide and insecticide but has no adverse health effects for people (it is a contraceptive thogh). It is systemic so best applies diluted from young age.
During mid to late flower, I start cutting down on watering, allowing the plants to droop heavily before watering. This is because they are holding so much more weight in the buds, in water, and do not need as much in the root zone to survive
Also, I like to get my fingers in the larger colas and pull the buds aside slightly, kind of like training them so there is more airflow through the dense colas. Some colas are just too dense for their own good
Woop
Also re- drying in the shed. Y. I would dry in the same room but set air flow with a carbon filter (even a cheap dryer carbon filter from the hardware store) to neutralize some of the gasses coming off the bud before it goes back in to the air with the plants. If it is not possible just set the fan in with the plants and drying buds so the air is being filtered within the shed
