hey guys,
I just started helping my friend set up his basement. he has a 10 x 20 ft room for flower and a 10x10 for veg.

I plan on doing 2 rows of 4 600w in the flower room.
My question for you guys is how many plants per 600w in promix? what size pot? veg time?
we have plenty of white shark clones and my buddy doesnt care about plant numbers.

Thanks for your help guys we bleeched today Ill post picks as we build.

If it were me
I am trying to see ho wmany lights you have, it looks 8 600 w lamps?
I would put 6 to 8 under them, depending on what you were going to do with them, ie lst , scrog, or treed up.

Veg time would be based on that, and pot size I would use 3 gal to 5 gal

I would place between 9 and 16 under each 600W. Time of veg cant tell you, cause that is in relationship with the stretch. Some strains stretch too poorly (many indicas), and some other hybrids with some sativa presence might strech a lot. So, time of veg, you will know that, as soon as you know how are the strains you are working with.
Good luck

A buddy of mine grew 6 plants under a 400W light and it worked great so I would do about 8/light. I suggest 5 gallon buckets, the more room for the roots the bigger they can get. You can veg. them for as long as you would like, but I would give them at least 3 weeks before flowering them. Remember the longer they veg., the taller/stronger they get, the bigger the yeild once flowered. Good Luck, hope I helped at least a little!

Put another 600 in there and rock 3 4' x 8' x 10" soil beds with 3 600's over it, pack the plant numbers in ~75 a bed with one week veg time and pop em'. (I wouldn't hesitate to put 100 in a bed if they were really indica dominent.)

Personally, I don't view commercial as a one time yield thing, I look at is as how fast can you get the pounds out there. Less veg, less work, less cost = more in your pocket and that's what we're after. Complicating things only takes from your overall.

If you would veg them longer you would get a higher yield, so would'nt you want to do this if you were going for commercial buds? Higher yield=more money....means veg longer for higher yield. I guess the quicker the better but im not a fan of small, quick yields. I guess its a personal thing/choice.

Hey if I could figure out a way to do more than a pound a light with it being as easy as it is for me I'd be happy as hell.

Sure, I could probably veg 25 plants for a month, shove them under 2 1000's and get a pound a light, but why when I can shove 75 to 100 under there, give them no veg and end up with the same weight?

I think possibly the thing you're not seeing is...

One month veg, two months flower = 4 runs a year. My setup (6 lights) would do 24 pounds a year

versus

No veg, two months flower = close to 6 runs a year. My setup (6 lights) does 36 pounds a year

Also, the added electrical cost of running lights longer on 18/6 versus 12/12, added costs for veg nutrients. The yield is the same per light running higher numbers vs. less numbers with bigger plants.

Everyone worries about that stupid gram per watt thing, I don't. I'm concerned with pounds a year.
