Help with Depression / Anger / Anxiety

sounds a bit just like stress or an early mid life crisis type nervous thing,, energy things like acupuncture, essential oils like lavender soak into you when you bathe (sounds gay - works) cut meat out more and go for greens and try taking some other shit,, some dmt inducing shit and some crazy health herbs, chinese medicine shit, some medicinal mushrooms like blazei or reishi, gingko biloba, valerian root,ginger etc,, maybe you already do consume random medicinal things like that, i think it's all the only reason i'm here..

last year stress and trying to work too hard with poor health a the same time nearly killed me,, the mind is stronger than the body.. and toxins in either will affect the other..

but sometimes in life things change and you need to go with that flow and then spring back.. and ganja isn't like most things, and we think too much about it i'd say, no choice really do we..

Sorry you're feeling that way. I too suffer from bad depression & anxiety. Smoking helps with the anxiety big time, but i had to give in and see a psychiatrist and take meds for the depression. It didn't cure it, but it took enough of the edge off so i could function. I know it's easier said than done, but exercising or finding a hobby helps too.

I dont know you, just a few suggestions:

try a new hobby
find a girlfriend
start working out, it helps with dopamine
dont eat junk food
chill with friends it distracts what ever botthers you
dont drink to much alcohol just a few beers
get a pet dogs are the best cats are cool too
.....

bottom line change the way you live, if you do everything simmillar chances are it wil not change

dont put a minute sleep for some stupid bullshit it just makes things worse just do some stuff that interrests you i dont know if your into music buy an mpc or something...

dont get high just to get high, getting high shoud be a second stuff aside just to make things more relaxed

I've suffered from depression so long that I hardly even remember what it was like to not be experiencing it.Then I read about how your thyroid can even cause depression.I am surprised to hear just how many things CAN cause depression.The hardest part would be to find out what is causing it.

I think I'll end up having my thyroid checked,simply because I have many of the symptoms..

Wish there were some help i could give you AM,but I can't even figure out what is causing mine...and anti depressive drugs aren't an option for me,and that is for sure.

talking about it was/is a great first step, kudos.

Here's some advice or an option that was shared with me by a psychologist back in '05.

my Doc said:
Depression is often brought on by an accumulation of problems or issues that eventually becomes a monster in a persons life, too big to take on. Pick that monster apart, choose one or two easy issues to resolve and do it; give yourself the feeling of accomplishment and control. Start breaking that monster down, move through your issues one at a time when you begin to resolve the more difficult ones in their order of importance to you.

Get 7-8 hours of sleep, don't drink any alcohol, absorb some sunshine. Here's my own favorite, volunteer @ your local Humane Society. don't have the time to volunteer there? then walk in w/a cash donation & visit w/the cats n' dogs for a few minutes, it'll help bring you back into focus.

Walk away from any excess drama in your life, family or not. Spoil yourself a little, but at the same time if you're having money issues don't be indulging yourself with stuff like $7 lattes every day.

Avi, what's on your mind? as in: what are the patterns and overall contents of your thoughts?

if getting high is not pleasant, then get real high, sit down, breathe, and start a process of orderly introspection. identify the source of your ills. once you actually see the cause, you can do something about it, but until then, there's not a lot one can do.

S4L has it right.

why get real high you may ask? because it brings the discomforts out, the cat is out of the bag, you can see it, even feel it with your whole body and soul. you can identify it. half the battle right there.

I get you.. weed is certainly effective for depression and anxiety but you just end up rebounding even worse at least that's the case for my anxiety.. I don't think self medicating with so called 'drug' type strains is a smart idea.

there's a lot to be angry about in this world, you just need an output.

Here's what helps me, in no particular order

Drink plenty of water

Laugh

Half an hour to an hour of exercise a day.

Time outside in the sun, just feeling the fresh air going through your lungs.

proper nutrition,green tea/matcha instead of coffee, theanine contained in tea is great for relaxation

5htp, I found it great for sleep and general mood, I take about 50-75mg every other day.. I find that taking more before bed gives me some vivid dreams as with any vitamins.. don't follow guidelines, start with less than what they tell you to take and work your way up if you need to readjust your dosage for desired effects.. they are in the business of selling you vitamins after all.

a good woman is great too.. but that's hard to find.
 
Anxiety is for people who care and have hope. Accept that there is no hope and there isn't anyone that's going to help you. Its the only thing that cured my anxiety.

While this might sound harsh its fairly true.
No pill is gonna make you a hero.
I wouldnt even think about taking an anti depressant unless you are seriously ill.
Maybe smoke less weed. Only do it when it can be enjoyable.
Too much of anything is bad. Except blow jobs... Cant get enough head
The coffee cant be good for you right now

It is harsh. It made me suicidal. Now, zero fucks given. Used to have crazy social anxiety. Now, when I meet a girl or a potential friend I make them impress me by digging through their personality. Social anxiety kept me from realizing how boring and unimpressive all people are. As long as you are persistent with meeting all these boring people, eventually you will have a unique interaction with a person. That's how relationships, dates, friendships, make out sessions, one night stands etc are made to happen.

Anxiety is more about expectations. People with social anxiety expect that some amazing person will help them or accept them for who they are. No one will. Stop looking for it and you'll find all these people begging for your attention. People are weird and lame. Fuck em.
