Greetings ICmag-ers!

Goin thru some tough shit for the last year...

I think coffee/ mate/ any speed helps (altho coffee/ mate is about the strongest "speed" i can handle). I've been meditating my whole life about, and that..... kinda helps.... just like reading spritual/inspirational literature helps sometimes, other time it makes me feel (recognize) extra fukd in the head....

I've been smoking less, dabbing even less... that doesn't necessarily HELP, just I haven't been feeling it lately, time off is good and the cannabis does nothing really to relieve what i feel, it's more of a distraction...

any advice will help.
thanks

I was told Blueberry is a good strain for depression. I think depression is a difficult one to judge cos theres lots of factors; some people get depressed for different reasons- some get depressed regardless. Ive known a few very 'successful' (in the conventional materialistic sense) people who had bad depression and you couldnt say why that was. Sometimes the depression is substance related; I think alcohol is a major cause for some people (ok in moderation I think). Cannabis is difficult to say because , used in small quantities I think would be a good help. But this doesnt take account of other extraneous factors; work, relationships. I think its an individual thing. Im no expert though just my two cents on it. I mean ive had times when everything seemed to be going great; relationship, work but inexplicably just felt 'down'. I concluded it must be some chemical inbalance or something....I think in these situations cannabis is good in reasonable amounts. all the best by the way...:)

Dude, get some high cbd in your garden. I am a high strung person and the older i get the more my blood pressure goes up which increases my irritability. I have been smoking on some death star and cannatonic 4 mixed joints (i never smoke flower anymore, ever) and i feel better than i ever do. I know its still cannabis but its a completely dif ball game.

Wtf is mate?

This is no joke:

Up your testosterone.
D-Aspartic Acid, brasil nuts for selenium, enough cholesterol!, exercise, sunlight (vitamin d3) and/or use estrogen inhibitors.
Each of those is involved in testosterone production, each on it's own is known to enhance mood and help with depression. Imagine those acting together synergistically!
DHEA and Alpha Lipodic Acid also help with depression and sluggishness.
It's amazing what a little more testosterone does to ones mental state.

Stay away from all forms of fructose! High levels of fructose literally kill your body's serotonin production, even if you're not suffering from fructose malabsorption.

Don't hang around people with negative attitudes, they drag you down.

Well....What's pissing you off?

You probably have to either, get over it, deal with it, or move on.

Im a firm believer that with anxiety you have to identify the cause and rectify it or it will never go away, pills, booze, drugs, they just cover it up but it will always be there til you confront the cause.

I have found exercise, truly eating clean and body detoxification to be incredibly helpful, but it is a commitment and life change not many are up for the task of carrying out..

I think many people feel depressed because they lack somekind of real purpose in life besides stacking paper, partying and having sex with countless chicks who can't offer you anything but that. try spending more time with family and the people you love, get in touch with nature, go out in the sun, start to workout and get in better shape, try helping people who are in need and who will appriciate it. these kinds of things make me feel very good:)

I think medications are a tool but to make it work in the long run you have to change your perspective and/or your way of life.

Something Imnotcrazy posted....

n old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life. "A fight is going on inside me," he said to the boy.

"It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil - he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego." He continued, "The other is good - he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you - and inside every other person, too."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, "Which wolf will win?"

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."
Also,

Total Freedom, great book for finding mental balance. This links to a website with audio and video

This is my first post in forever. (been off the site) but i feel you dude. i am actually feeling down today too. I got no reason to, or i dont know why it started. i was sitting outside having a beer with this girl just talking then it just came over me. someone earlier said there is a reason and there is... you just have to figure out what it is. sometimes people can be insecure about things but there is no point to dwell on it. i hope that made sense, hope you feel better

I think this is Sage advice!

when a person is walking s/he sees outwardly. when sitting on a couch a person can mostly only see her/himself.

it could be ... you're getting in your own way ...
