Hey dude,
Yeah count me in!! Good call on the 0.6 ec, thats about 1/4 strength if i'm not mistaken & is perfect for the stage of growth. another 10-14 or so days and i'd make it 1/3rd strength. yeah it sounds like you had a bit of nute burn, but you've corrected that now dude.
I always flush using 1/8th or 1/10th strenght solution ph 5.5', it almost acts like a magnet and you get a better rinse when flushing-anything in ya medium is better flushed out than just using plain ph'd water!(for future reference). I'll see if i can find your journal & pics. i'll be following along. Peace'

cool, ill get a journal going and post the pics from beginning to current... hey scrogerman, how long should i let these go before i put up the screen, and since they are from seed..feminized....how high do i want to set the screen? 10- 12 inches above the top of buckets sound rite? im not sure, some say that i have to compensate for added stretch do to growing from seed rather than clone? what would you say....anyone else have an opinion?

Use your stretch & make it work for you, not against you!!

Use your stretch & make it work for you, not against you!!

Hey dude,
Yeah thats good, go for 12", the more room the better first time, you gotta work under there etc. The main stem will get bent in most cases or and the many others/branches so it dont matter on stretch. Only maybe it does to fill the last part of your screen say fill it 80%(VEG) first, then flick to 12/12 & use the first stretch in bloom to fill in the remaining 20% of the screen then let em ' go after you filled 100% of the screen. if you understand-me!
Its easy to get going let each branch grow up say 2-4" through each hole(you may have top'ed or fim'ed first), then pull that branch down through the same hole it grew up through and move along to the next place/hole you want it to be, and keep doing it to all branches in the screen untill 80% full. then flick 12/12 & use first stretch. Some sativas you may wanna switch 12/12 early in your screens development say 60-70% full as they will stretch more.
Remember your stretch is gonna count and you can make it work for you, not you for it! & that happens in bloom by the time you go into bloom your screen is gonna be 70-80% full i suspect.
the first two wks in bloom cycle you will need to have cleared 100% foliage from under ya screen too, but do it slowly from 2 wk before bloom up untill 2 wks into bloom, after that do not bother taking leaves n branches, this already should have been done before flowers start to form!!

Ok...sounds pretty simple....One more thing...should i fim or top the plants or can I just let them go? would they still fill the screen ok if i just let them grow without any HST?

Dude, it depends how many plants are in your space (plants p/2')if you just top once at say 6th, 7th or 8th node depending how tight your internode spacing is, then that should be ample/plenty, but if you fim you gonna have more work to do and this could become quite a strain for a novice scroger because of too many tops/branches all at the top. If i were you i would just top as standard, to get used to it first. Yes, you dont have to top anything, as when the main/merry stem grows up through the screen you will pull it back through the same hole it grew up through and bend the grow tip 90 degrees under the screen to start your scroging. This will have the same hormonal effect on the plant as topping without the stress of topping, LST Vs HST. Your just using the auxin (hormone) that resides in the grow tip/tips in the same way-as if you had topped. Your auxilary/secondary branching will still gain the auxin and grow the same way, as if they have been topped. So in summary you can do either it really doesent matter, but personally i would top, everything seems to happen/move much quicker when you do.!(some strains dont respond well to topping) I hope this helps.

(the aim of the game here is to bend the branches under the screen, then when 80% full flick 12/12 and use the first stretch to complete the remaining 20% = screen full. Then let them GO!- if you just need a support i recommend using LST & tie them up for support and lose the scrog completely.)

Scroger...yes they are Nirvanas...who else breeds them? Do you think my area is suitable for 4 plants? It seemes like it would be just right as long as i can follow directions and common sense correctly;) Oh yeah, do you have any guess at how tall the plants will grow above the screen once I flip?

The last time i mentioned the names of the other banks, i got in trouble as it breaks TOU protocols, so i will PM that info to you.
The stretch will always depend on pheno. I think kindman is ya man to ask that 'Q' as he is doing BlackJack himself. I always find an indica leaning strain will not stretch all that much where as a sati will really go for it, but it does all depend on the ratio's of each in any hybrid!
Peace............Scroger'
(I cant PM you yet, i think you have to have 50 posts-just remind me n i'll get that info to you!!)
