HELP URGENT: My Drying Buds are Molding

Hey guys....
I have just fineshed my last run with Nirvana´s Ice...
Everything was going fine as common, but today after 3 days drying when I was just going to check them out in the dark room, I noticed some white mold on a few buds.

This shit never happen with me in 5 ****ing years.
Not drying... I know that the air humidity should be to high and that´s why the mold started to live. But what the **** should I do now?

I put all the plants on the refrigerator in tupeware thinking that the low temps should kill the mold. I don´t even no if that works...

So guys, what should I do?

I am going to by a ocilator fan to put in the dark room to prevent more mold.
I was wondering to let the buds in the refrigerator (freezer) for like a day.

I´m ****ing pissed up ...that kind of things sux!!!

Your buds will need some air when they dry or mold can happen. Not giving them enough air just makes the matters worse.

Depending on how bad it is.... affected buds I would think are affected and there is nothing really you can do except try to stop the rest of them from getting moldy.

This is not going to stop anything and actually make matters worse. You will need to get a dehumidifier and wash things down where you had your grow/ buds at.
Other wise when you start your next grow...... your plants can have issues.

Keeping fresh air to your buds in a dry place is the only way you are going to stop it from spreading if not all are affected.

The ones that are affected you should toss them; I know it sucks.... but it's not going to taste to well having bud rot and smoking it......... ewwwww makes me sick thinking about it

So Myname Stitch I didn´t understand what you mean by toss the buds.
Do you mean that I should take them of the stem leaving the health buds safe?

I´m so sad after all hard work for 4 mounths , after this amateur mistake becoming reality. What ever....

Does anyone have another suggestion?
The buds still on the freezer getting cold.
Tomorrow I will take them off and restart to dry them out.

trouble with mould is it starts from within and is hard to see from outside ,if you see mould on outside of buds it means your probably badly infected inside ,
you need to carefully open up the buds and inspect the middles ,then throw or burn any infected buds ,,

next time get a dehumidifier for late flower and the last 10 days only water plants just enough to stop them from dying

personaaly i wouldnt toke any of it unless your 110%sure u got rid of the mould ,,toking mould can cause serious lung infections ...

only alternate method is to turn it into oil ,so i believe

low temps will actually encourage the mold and putting them in tupperware containers in the fridge is a bad idea.

temps of about 65 oc should be good and good airflow(not hitting your buds)around your room should be good.

by tossing the bud he means chuck it,unless your gonna turn it into oil or run it through bubble bags.

if its any concilation i discovered mold on 1 of my blockhead colas last week and just cut of the infected area and bined it.as plants hadnt run their course i started to flush early.double checking my plants daily and havent seen any more mold.

if your really worried then drying them quicker might be an option but i couldnt say,drying to dfast can affect the aroma and flavour of your buds but then again you cant smoke mouldy buds either.its a tough choice and 1 i hope i don have to make myself.

Ok guys...thanx a lot for all you who have stopped here and let some good words.
I didn´t understand Myname what means chuck it, cause I´m from Brazil and english is my second language. Just learning you know? And this word I could not find on a dictionary or google language tools. hehhe

About everything guys, I will let you know what is happening: Today I checked the buds and the smell seems to be better (maybe because the buds are freeze). The buds are convered with freeze water molecules. So what I am going to do: I´m going to take them of the freezer, do a quick dry phase on my oven stove at low temperature and them I will put them on the dark room with some improvements to give some fresh air to the room. And later I tell you what happen after all of this shit.

If the buds get worst...It doesn´t matter anymore.
Next time I am going to pay more attention on the drying period.

Chuck it means to get rid of it; to throw it away.

cut down on humidity from drying.

u can put ur ozone generator in the room it will oxidize the mold spores and kill them.

maybe open the door to the drying room. in my experiance they dont need dark while drying.

ive seen somwhere where shantibaba recomends using a low wattage light in with your buds whilst drying.

Hummm...I´ve never heard that too!!!
Did you guys know anyone who did this method?

The buds are drying to fast now that I put a oscilating fan on the dark room.
I know it´s not a good idea drying to fast, but this is what is up to me for the moment.
I just thoght that the buds need to loose fast as possible their humidity to not get more mold on. Dunno if the spores and the fungus are death with my experience.

This is something that I am going to know when the buds were completly dryed.
The bad taste seems to get lower. Dunno...

Tomorrow I´ll give an update.

ive never tried it myself but then again its something i only read recently so might give it a try..

as shanti knows his stuff i would suppose its a good tip.also from what i remember reading his idea behind using a low wattage bulb in with your drying buds sort of made sense.

no, complete darkness is not absolutely necessary, however light degrades THC so the less the better.

he mentioned something about a little light helps ??? break down into sugars or something along those lines.

ozone generators in with your plants may kill mould spores but will also have a negative affect on plants.

As I said guys, here I am after the drying period have finished.

After all hard work, the mold seems to stop their growth.
I could found lot of dry spores on the ground, but the mold still on in some buds.

After All I notice that in my region (at the sea) is the air humidty is ****ing high (70%) and is a must using a dehumidifier. And I realize that Ice is such a good strain, lots of resin on the buds, but she´s not resistant at all with fungus. Not in my tropical region.

But I am going to run some clones for the best female again with the enviromental under control and see what happens.

well i had some mold too! but i just grinded my molded weed and put in on radiator for 24 hours. the taste was strange but effect left same
