hi all
my ph on soil meter is just under 7, tap water is 7, am using 2x600w hps grolux, humidity is 65 after water, drops to around 30 when ready to water again,i think i could have under ferted but didnt when i flushed her a week ago with pure water have ony gave her pure water since, she has been getting worse by the day hope pics help abit

Looks like a PH problem... bit too high and/or Mag. Def.... crush up 1/2 TBLSpoon of epsom salts add it to your water or get some cal mag. Seems to be a trend lately.... ive had tons of cal mag issues with each of my 7 strains. Goodluck

I'm gonna a agree with the slight pH and mag issue. And I don't trust the soil PH meter for anything. I used to have one and it read just under 7 no matter what the pH. Piece of crap in my book. Do what navigator said and do yourself a favor and toss the soil pH meter. Plants don't look too shabby though.
Good luck- Spy

get a chemical ph test and test the soil. Adding stuff with an unknown PH can just make this all worse. BTW a bigger pot would have helped.

Forgive me if I'm being stupid, but how would a bigger pot help a pH issue, or magnesium deficiency?

I dont think he was referencing the ph or def. issues...... the plants are big and can probably stand a transplant..... however thats not the main concern

the soil is high 8 to 8.5 tested all 6,
should i use sulpher to lower or repot in bigger pot use different mix, or ?? help

I would add 1tsp of lemon juice per gallon to your tap water and flush your plants with at least twice the amount of water than the container size. So if those are 5gal pots you would put 10 gals of water/lemon juice through each one.

I wouldn't transplant them in flower.

You should check out LC's soilless mix in the organic soil section Organics for Beginners
sticky.

I recommend this even if you aren't an organic grower...plenty of great mixes that are already grower proven.

thanks guys been through to grow shop got some ph down, flused plants at 6.5 with a guano tea mix, got a run off now at 7, going to start using rain water again guy at hydro shop said that water company has added extra chemicals to drinking water the ph is higher, dont know if thats true could explain rise in ph, think i should invest in decent ph meter theirs a horticare at £49.99 is that a ok price and a good meter or should i try ebay

Hello theak, I hope you get things fixed faster than me:

I used a test tube and ph drops to determine tap, feed and runoff ph. They're a pain in the ass to use but I thought were fairly accurate. I just got my electronic tester in the mail and calibrated it with the solution provided.

The drops and ttube indicate a ph of tap to be ~ 6.5. I checked the same tap water with the new meter and got a reading of 8.0. I don't know if I'm locking out calcium but the problems are significant. Good luck.
