so you only have 2 - 1.5" holes for intake? definately need bigger intake. your fan cant exhaust air that isnt there haha.

hey NOKUY: I've looked at your cab a couple of times. I like the idea of sealing the mecanical chamber and having the fan pull out air thru the holes. I can't find any picutres of your scrubber, are you using one?

Thanks for your help,

What I've heard:
passive intake:eek:uttake=2:1.

And getting that 400W to a reasonable temp in a cab that size sounds like some research worth some ICMAG grant money.

Looking forward to the improvements.

Alright, I did some modifications and I am getting better results. My cab now runs at 95F. It's 5 degrees less then it used to be, I am running my test without the glass for half an hour and I will try it with the glass later on.

Here is the new "light trap":

This is the intake:

This is the system running:

The temp is 77 on the picture but it was 5 minutes after firing the hps.

Now I have a new problem:

Seems my light trap does not trap too much light...

I have ordered a bake a round tube from ebay, I'll do an independent cooltube later on.

Thank you all for your help!

Yeah! I'm running the cab at 87F with the glass under my light.

With the cooltube, I should be able to drop the temperature further down.

hey friends,

Look at my White Widow clones at day 14 strait to 12h.

My cab is still hot but I will build a new one pretty soon. With my experience the other one is going to be much better. I will vent it outside via the shower fan exit line. I also have a bake a round in the mail which will help.

This is kind of a test run :D

How long before buds start forming?
