help me match strain

i am new to the forum and already got some good guidance in the medical forum, so i am hopin to get more here. i am afraid my personal strains genetics will die out this year because of problems out of my control. i started growin in 1975 using 8 seeds i found in a lb of nepalese temple balls bought in san francisco, and 10 seeds i found in a bag of mostly sens i got up in the blue mountains of jamaica in the same year. my record keeping in those years were scribbles i couldnt read. i did pollinate a female jamaica with the nepalese male and the nepalese female with a lady jamaican that first harvest. after that is where i slacked off keepin records. i grow only outside, starting seeds indoors between jan30 and feb 14. i then set out seedlings betweenapril 20 to may 2. using various crosses of the offspring from the original 18 seeds, my partner and i harvested the last day of august to sept 15 with consistant yields of 10 to 18 ozs of cleaned huge buds. we only grew 5to 9 plants each year after the first year of 18. the best buzz always came from the plants that were 5 to7 ft tall and with the same width. when ripe you could not see any stem except about from the ground up to about 10 inches. im cryin about losin those genetics that were obviously perfect for my area of greene county. my gardens have no more than 3 plants in each site and get at least 10hours of direct sun each day. this strain also helped my medical condition detailed in the medical forum. can anybody suggest an approximate substitute? i tried to keep this as short as possible, but it still looks windy. please forgive the ramble. thanks

hey slater i would if i could but it appears i will not end up with any harvest because of pests and pirates. it will take a miracle for the lone female to survive because the main stalk was damaged when a tree limb fell on it. i did do emergency first aid and it appears healthy but it is small with no lateral branches. there is a healthy male next to it that has the characteristics of the plants grown from the nepalese hash i found them in. i am just trying to prepare for the worst and try to recreate this special blend from the modern genetics out there today. thanks for the respond

farmer, I don't understand why you can't try to clone both the male and the female....even if the female is damaged and in flower...you could give it a whirl! If the plant is alive it is clonable, and worth the try. Just snip off the top few inches of one of the main branches.

If you're not interested in saving the genetics you have and wish to just recreate them...well, you might get something similar but only after much experimenting. Many jamaican hybrids around, a few real landraces (extremely hard to get a hold of) and quite a few interesting asian indicas, Maple Leaf Indica from Sensi for one, now that's some fine weed...an IBL originating in Afghanistan. Good luck on your quest!

hell, indigo i have never done clones and this lady is one cola from where the stalk was damaged upto the top, about 22 inches give or take 3 inches. maybe i will learn that one day but this old dog has trouble with new tricks. thanks for the reply if it does stay healthy i will get seeds with the buck next to it. so it looks like i will be going to church every sunday to pray for her health.

Its very easy farmer, and when you're ready to learn we'll be here to help
Cannabis is such a damn hardy plant that I'm sure your lady has a fighting chance with a good dose of your love to nurture her through. Shouldn't have much more to go I imagine....so I'll be crossing my fingers for her and sending all sorts of nice vibes

well sometimes we can only do so much, with what we are afforded.. sounds like about now yer there..
My best advice would be continually pollinate the female or her reminance, withthe male you are provided. if you have more males use them all. mixing pollens will preserve any possible diversity (different phenos) in the off spring.

the above advice of cloning is great advice! if at all possible I would try and salvage a couple clones from any and every plant you have left.

Its too bad you dont (?) have any seed left from previous harvests, as that would awnser you problem..

Make shure not to fidget with the female too much, as they usually repair themselves from breaks and splits, but can easily be hinderd if tissues are repeatedly bruised by movement.
If all yer after from her this harvest is seed, give her a mild shot of Nitrogen now, this might help your lady in repair and poppin out sum seeds for ya.

I doubt we are working in the same genepool, but soon Ill be offering Jamaican Jam and Nepal HashPlant on seedbay, and/or possibly (fingers crossed) seedbotique.

Here is my Nepal HP

and here is a bit more of the Jamaican Spear x Afghan (Jamaican Jam)

thanks for yer time, n I hope you will be able to continue youre medicine my friend.
Peace, bub.
