lol, taste like shit... i guess it could if used too late, BUT OK i just blazed a fine batch of OG a buddy put out that had no, ZERO negative effects.. looked, tasted, smelled, smoked the same. was treated at 4 1/2 weeks flower out of an 8 week cycle.. now i do not recommend treating during flowering, i have seen it done with great success and like i said zero negative affects on the end product.
If you choose to use imid you will be safe.. your plants are very young, and still vegging, and most likely have at least 60+ days till harvest.. the imid might still be in your plants put not in the concentrations it was within the 1st 45 days..
Imid was developed for use in tobacco greenhouses on tobacco.. Gnatrol doesn;t work on these root aphids, saw someone try it for 3 months to no avail. females lay live young, not eggs.. From my research bayer is a lower concentrated, more time released product, hence 12 months protection.. Everything i found about merit said 6 month life span in the plants after labeled dosage, with a 3 month active half-life.. and if you are dosing below the labeled dose then concentrations go down and so does life and active half-life..
The bayer can be found in home de-pot or your local garden shop.. it is cheaper than merit.. i paid $65 for 2 oz of the merit, and i saw prices as hi as $250 for the liquid form of imid..
my word is not final, and i am sure there is a lot more research i can do about imid..
anyways like i said, just my 2 cents, seen it work. and it is my pleasure!!

pretty low dosage. 2 ml / gallon. made sure to soak em good.
yeah im stoked too
wasn't expecting it too work so quickly but its a good thing because the babies need to go into flower at the end of this week
I definitely feel that acting quickly and not letting them infest the place helped tremendously
