Help identify my bugs

so I got these clones from the dispensary (and brought a clone inside from the backyard :wallbash:) and nuked them asap with a no pest strip overnight. about a week later I have started to see some unusual bugs, kind of look like gnats but longer clear wings and a rounder body. kind of look like little helicopters. They aren't gnats. And from what I can tell they aren't thrips

Also, bugs that look like springtails but browner in color and they crawl around the coco, mainly around the rockwool cube and down the sides. Been spraying with neem oil and can't see any damage to the leaves.

I have attempted to attach a picture of the ones that don't fly. The ones that do fly are more of a concern, they just chill on the leaves and I usually find a couple every time I peek into the veg box. but they are camera shy.

Any ideas? Are they harmful?

Thanks,
Green

I concur with Greyskull!

do the non-flyers look like aphids? there are forms of root aphids that have complex life cycles.. females spend their life crawling in the medium, males turn into "gnat" looking flyers.. check my signature for a good thread to identify and eradicate if they are indeed root aphids.. i dunno tho, maybe another pic or 2, clearer and closer up may help us identify..

:) Good Luck

they are still really young clones??? if so, hit them with a very very light dose of merit75(imidiclorpid powder) or bayer advanced imid particles.. this stuff will knock em out with 1 application.. peruse the the thread i suggested.. ignore the last several posts in that thread, as i and many friends have smoked herb that was treated with imid at 4 weeks of flower and have noticed nothing negative..

hope it helps, in my experience, the faster you knock em out, the better.. i tried organic, non pesticide methods, and none helped.. no worries about the pic, you will find a few in the phylloxera thread that may help you identify..

Good Luck..

do yousmell that? It smells like a organic hater haha Iam fucced up

LoL Organic hater nope.. I tried them.. ALOT of them, and some work great if you just want to control infestations.. when i have bugs i aim for eradication, plain and simple.. if i had found an organic product that could eradicate root aphids, i would gladly use it, but sadly i never did..

BUT.... For thrips. worms and caterpilars i swear by Monterey insect garden spray(spinosad) which is OMRI listed as organic :)

again i am not an organic hater, i just know what works for me..

hey kush i've been reading through that thread I guess I hadn't got to the good stuff because the first 10 pages no one had found a cure yet. that merit75 shit is expensive, and the bayer advanced? can you explain more? like bayer aspirin?

and the flying males? should I put up blue sticky traps? and yes the clones are still young. about 7-8 seedlings a week in and 4 clones a week in. weird thing is that the aphids seem to prefer the casey jones more than anything else in the cab

thanks again!

the imid will kill the flyer's too.. the bayer is cheaper, lower concentration, and works, i used the merit 75, which was way cheaper than the liquid form.. just add 1/2 teaspoon of the merit to a 5 gallon bucket of r/o or ph'd water.. then soak em for an hour or 2, water top down, just let the roots sit in that water long enough for it to be absorbed.. you will notice no live bugs, crawling or flying, within 48 hours.

those are the ones.. i liked the merit as it was easily dissolved in the water.. but yes the bayer advanced tree and shrub works also
