HELP HELP HELP

I am a new grower and left my plants with some friends to tend while i was away on reading week. I am unsure of what they have dont to my babies, over watering, underwatering, N defficiency, Nut burning (i am only using straight water)?

I would appreciate some advice

Thanks,

do those cups have drainage holes? a too wet/compact soil will lock-out nitrogen i believe, which is what seems to be your problem, roots are probably suffocating and don't have enough o2

it has drainage and the first thing i did when i got back was give them a good water. I think it may be time for a transplant however i am affraid to do it now and shocking the plants to much and ultimately killing them. I have nutrients which are: FloraGro, FloraBloom and FloraMicro. I was thinking of solving the yellowing problem then transplant

yellowing is a sign of N deficiency. Have you started to introduce nutes yet?

dont transplant till you start seeing roots around the clear cup. but if you are getting yellowing i would start to introduce nutes. do 1/4 strength at the next water and continue with 1/4 strength till they get bigger.

under/over watering causes drooping not yellowing.

A plant with wet feet will most certainly have lower leaves that yellow and wither, if left wet long enough.

Problems that happen to the oldest leaves first almost always tend to be root-related.

In hydro, the magic bullet for any given problem is to drain the res and mix nutrients at a lower strength. In soil, the magic bullet is to pot up. Transplant into a larger container with a fresh mix.

The plants in the pic should not have been fed any nutrients yet. They're not large enough to need it. The original poster also does not mention the pH or strength of the soil[less] mix used. Babies don't want much of ANYTHING, least of all strong fertilizers.

Pot up and watch them recover.

Correct

And get them out of those clear cups, the roots wont grow towards the light, you want the roots filling up those cups

I had a similar problem with my plants. At first I thought it was nut deficiency or N deficiency because the bottom leaves were yellow n spreading to the top. But the roots grow exceeding fast so I think its best to transplant to a 1gallon or even 2. gd luck with the grow!

Thanks for the help i have now transplanted the plants and gave them a 1/4 strength solution and now they are beginning to thrive again. here some photos
