Help... fastest way north of LA to San Diego??

I'm wondering if I should take the 101 to the 5, down to san diego...

or the 405

i seem to remember there was a toll road too? i have no cash!

how would you get to san diego if you were coming down from the north into LA on the 101??

Check out a map on google maps or mapquest or something, it's pretty easy to make yourself a route if you don't know any addresses.

Yeah ca-73 is the toll road, I take that almost every time and I never pay the toll and I still haven't gotten a ticket in the mail, could be because of out of state plates though. Other than that you can take the 101 down to 405 and then to the 5 like lizard said.

I was only asking because Google or Mapquest could just say one way, but not the fastest. Before I got stuck with toll roads, and yes... I couldn't pay but never got busted.

Nokuy, it is about 106 miles from Long beach(LA) to San Diego by sea. . If you know how fast your cigarette boat travels, you can figure it out. It probably takes more time to get in and out of harbors and the time depends on whether you stop at any nude beaches along the way. For you,it might be faster by car.
