HELP dose any one know !!!

just wondering if any one can tell me why my budds have started to look like mutants its mainly the one's directly below the lights its my second grow but first hydro grow (nft) and my last grow the budds didnt start to look like that im sure , ive posted a few pics to show what i mean
any help would be gratefully recevied

How close are your lights?

looks like it may be light bleaching/heat stress from the lights being too close...or bad nute burn from feeding too much.

its not the light thats about 12" away i did put some cfls in there for about a week the swapped for another hps the only other thing is lights of temps have dropped to 8c thats the only thing can think of cheers for reply EASY

They almost look like they are trying to reveg. You don't have any light leaks do you? Not sure if those leaves are indicative to the strain or not, but they are might green to be coming out of buds. Looks like new growth.

its not strain related because its on 3 differant strains aswell as growed this same strains last time and they was all of the same mothers aswell thanks for reply cheers EASY

That's a reaction to light heat damage to the tops of those plants. You were probably marginal on your peak temps for a day or so, maybe only in a few spots in the room (it can be very minor differences that determine damage if you're right on the edge). The heavier single leaves & odd out/through growth is a combination of the immature leaves being damaged and expanding incorrectly, and new growth growing around and through the damaged areas.

Keep an eye on these buds as the small amount of dead material in them can leave them prone to mold later on.

single leafs like that resemble reveg to me, looks like ya need to chop that thing ,looks over done

How many weeks are they?

They look as though the N was never flushed.

That plant is definitely going into reveg, you'll need to finger the cause to avoid it in the future.

I have done this to myself in the past. Light too close, and also combo of too much nute possibly?

When u said "it not the light, it 12" away"...what wattage is it? U said hps...but do not know ur watts? I still think that it has to do with light heat stress. Hold ur hand under light, right above bud is usually my test...too warm for my hand, then too warm for the plant.

i had a light leak on some bigbud, but coz i never entered the room during lights out i never knew!they looked like that and after about 13 weeks flowering i finally checked and it was clear as day in there!!! my advice is to go in at lights out and check.

thank for all the replys well there is 2 hps lights in there a 600w and a 250w the 250 as only been in there about a week and half when first put it in the following day had a few leafs burned only 3 or 4 so i highered the lights there deffo not ready only put them in to flower on 18-09-2010 so only 40 days and these strains go between 8 and 9 weeks its only the tops on about 10 budd sites it looks like its only the new growth its not done it to any budd sites around the egdes they all look fine it diretly below the lights would it be worth cutting it out or should i leave it 1 other thing i did notice is there starting to go a bit darker green ive just give them 20 lt of plain water so we'll see what happens
