**Help Design & Build My 2kw Growroom**

Good lookin paintbrush sketchup Bro......The drawings show "active intakes" pumpin conditioned air into the grow areas with the exhaust scrubber combo suckin heat and old air outta both rooms ?.......

Ran bigass wall bangers in my old Krusty bucket rooms like that with no problems , but you`re not exhausting back into the room itself like I did for a lung area , but rather "outta" the room taking all mixed air and humidity with it right ?.....

Just tryin ta figure out what`s best for your particular situation H8 , but needta know what type setup with how many plants you`ll be runnin with 2KW cuz yas only need 40 sq ft for 2 KW and 50 watts per sq ft optimum lumens....that said.....

With right at 100 sq ft/9 x 11 If yas split the room end to end with the bloom area 5 x 8 and the remaining 3 x 5 for veg , you`d have the full length of the room as a "lung area" where the a/c on the back wall is pumpin in environment along with......

Humidifier if needed to supply 70% RH till end of stretch in the bloom room while havin it exhaust into the veg room for constant elevated RH and explosive foliage growth till ready for the bloom room next run.......

Air exchange twice per minute is your friend in both rooms , but the bloom room will need to be dropped to 50% or lower RH till end of cycle to prevent airborn nasties from formin in late bloomage , although I never had problems in Hell with mega humidity 24/7/365 and air exchange twice per minute in over 20 yrs of croppin inside.......anyways....

Fortune favors the prepared mind Bro....Good luck in whatchas come up with , and holler if I can help......

Peace.....DHF.....:ying:.....

If yas had an active intake beneath the a/c as low as possible comin into the "lung area" with both bloom and veg rooms on the other side of the long partition wall , then .....

With the active intake for the bloom room at the opposite end of the lung area , what would happen is the fresh cool conditioned air would be sucked in and then pumped out of/sucked into the veg area with elevated temps AND humidity FTW kickin veg plants in the ass for explosive growth , and then exhausted back out the room through that same connection without the "wye" , but doin it`s the only wayta dial it.....then....once dialed and.....

Stretch is over when lower humidity levels are needed till end of cycle , exhausting into the veg room will still pump higher RH levels in from the plants drinkin/eatin so much from swellage , so ....win win IME.....anyways.....

Hereta help.....DHF.......:ying:.......

Wasn`t talkin bout the a/c in the bloom room Bro , but rather in the lung area.....but......

It all depends on where it is already so I guess some things are written in stone unless it can be moved.....and....

I was talkin bout the veg area in line with the bloom room shortened up some so the lung area would be open the length of the room for optimum efficiency WITH the a/c , but at least it`s not been built yet so we can still figure the best way for useage.....anyways.....

Holler back.....DHF....:ying:.....

At a quick glance I'll say that you should put the mini split head in front of your hoods so it blows cold air length wise.
Second, from the looks of your last sketch, you're either going to be sucking in air through the hoods and into the room or sucking air out of the room through the hoods. Either way, the mini split will work non stop...

And if you're going to air cool those hoods then you can step down to a 9k btu mini split, 12k btu is just too big.

You will be pulling all your cold air out of the room through your hood. If you want to cool the lights without sucking out your cold air then have the 10" canfan pull air from outside the room, through the hoods, and back out the room.

It would be MUCH simpler to seal the room, add co2 and run the hoods open. The 12k btu mini split would be perfect in that scenario.

In a sealed room their would be no need for the filter since (theoretically) no air is leaking out.
But if you'd rather cool the hoods then yeah run it in a loop as you described.

For perspective;
My flower room is 9x6(x8). In it I have 2k watts in uncooled Magnum hoods. The room is cooled with a 14k btu Mr.Slim, has a dehumidifier and co2 (tanks, not burner)

The odor just stays in the room. When I stand next to my flower room i don't smell even my bubba kush :)

You can always mount the filter with fan in the room and have it constantly scrubbing the air, and still keep it sealed.
