Tire them down to the ground. Pick a short bush type of strain and not a sativa that is going to grow 12-15 feet tall. Try to place them near other plants that are going to have the same colors or close. Put them under the edge of a tree line, so if the chopper flys over them, most likely won't see them. They would have to fly directly at them to see the under the tree line. Put them in an area the chopper don't fly in or the least amount. Don't use buckets, if you do. Please paint them green or buy camo buckets, or even put them in the ground. That is one of the biggest give aways, spotting the buckets from the air. Make sure if you dig up the ground to make sure the soil matches the soil around the area you just dug up. Fresh soil isn't going to be bleach from the sun. I'm sure others here have more to add. Just thought i would get it started. Keep an eye out for my 100 plant spring grow. I'm going to be planting 100 clones outside this spring of four different strains on a 2000 archer farm.
Good Luck

Shitty deal.
The choppers around hear use heat sensors to find large plantations. So normally for us small plots scattered over a distance is relatively safe.

Ive heard if you also fasten fake flowers of sorts to your plants from the sky it may look like a ;...flowering plant of sorts?

I dunno, hard to say. guess you have to find out what kind of technology they are using and see if you can get around it somehow.

good luck.

Nice post, I was in the Army and was an Airbourne Sniper. It all depend on the hardware they are using in the Choppers like Nugs said. If they are using White hot or Dark hot, it is going to be very hard for them to spot the plots in the daytime. The heat from the ground is going to throw them off. Now if they are using some of the new Gen stuff, then i would plant my plants in very small plots across a larger area. Cover more ground with less plants. If they are flying at night, and you plant in larger plots. You plots are going to get found, since the ground isn't giving off the heat to mask the plants. Call the cops from a pay phone and say your a highschool student in DARE and your doing a paper on Pots bust and want to know what type of equipment they use and what their pot bust rate is. Shit, you might get some dumb-ass that wants to feel all big and bad. You never know what they might tell.
Good luck

choppers are a mofo.........

choppers are a mofo.........

............especially if your livin around a area were theres alot of gowin goin on.

if your usin buckets, buried is best, as the soil stays cool. also you can use landscape nettin to camo them.

my outdoor grows i call walkabout grows. i wonder around placin seed in my little spots lookin like a lost hiker. sometimes I place small sprouts but it takes to long to dork with um.

have two biker water packs to water with when plantin. waters always close to um thoughout the grow. just use a plastic grocery bag with a few holes in it, dip um and water. i usually only have five plants close to each other.

Deffnatly plant in small groups I put 8-12 females in a spot then move 10 or fifteen minutes away and plant 8-15 more. that way if one does get busted (god forbid) or ripped you still got others. There's really not to much you can do about choppers.

In my work I fly in helicopters frequently in many parts of the US. I am very wel trained to observe form the ship. We are not looking for pot plants-without giving too much away we are looking though.

Buckets and disturbance are the easiest to spot.

Hawaii, California and parts of the Pacific NW is where I observe the most weed. They have the most sophisticated and expereinced observers.

West Virginia, Kentucky and NH-Vermont aint too shabby in terms of shher amounts of growing.

We use the same tech that LE is using. In fact some of our foks helped develop it.

The tech isn't used as often as you think -and it often is a pain in the ass to deal with. Most busts are plots found by humans.

From the air you can pretty much tell if the grower knows what they are doining.

While I know good growers sometimes get busted from the air. I'll bet LE has been tipped off.

Aerial observation is expensive and most LE agencies aren't funded well enough to be flying around looking for weed -unless there are big payoffs.

It is really hard to see individual plants integrated into the landscape.

I look for them and what is usually see is the buckets and tilled ground or irrigation.

Thank you, just like i said earlier. Camo your buckets or put them in the ground, make sure the soil matches the soil around the grow. You don't want fresh soil ontop of sun bleached ground. Some of you know i was in the Army, I was a Sniper and i got to attend The United States Army Research Institute. I got to train on all the CVI Thermal training. It cost to dam much, if someone get's caught. It's because someone didn't hide the site to well, buckets, soil, etc. Or they told about their site and someone told the cops. That's just how it is. Good luck everyone this spring. I know i'll be putting out over 100 clones this spring.
Good luck

In Jason King's book,The Cannabible,he talks about grows in Hawaii where they grow the plants in pots but they climb up in the trees with the pots and place the plants in the upper canopy.
This not only makes the plants hard to spot from the air but the ground as well.
Obviously this wouldn't be practical for large grows, unless you had a group of trained monkeys to water it for you.But if you only had a few,who knows.

I like that JLP. Remember on the simpsons. Homer got one of those monkeys for disable people. Maybe we should apply for some. :)

I've seen the choppers looking around here and they go low and slow. I have one patch that I usually put 4 plants in, the rest are scattered out in singles and would seemingly be next to impossible to spot from the air. The other advantage I have in spreading them out is if I get ripped, they will only get one or two. Peace. :canabis:

I'm actually going to try some Lowryder for the hell of it. Hell I could grow 100 plants in a small area and end up with a pretty decent amount of smoke. As small as they are I doubt LEO would spot them. If I plant em early he won't be looking anyhow. I'm thinking gallon sized pots?? Good luck with all of your grows. I'm nowhere near as experienced as BaaaadMOFO or HOG but I know this, put your plants in several different places, with no trail leading to them. That way rippers do not get it all if they find it. A friend had 5 plants in a patch last year, and a ripper came and got all of them. Speaking of rippers, I firmly believe that most rippers are friends that you think would NEVER steal your plants. Prolly as high as 90% of the time.. Want to show your friends your shit?? Show them the DRIED bud, or take some pics, but never show them the plants. Good luck. Peace. :canabis:

Id like to see a link somewhere that shows how on earth heat sensors will work to find weed? I have heard this before and cant bring myself to believe it without proof. It makes sense for indoor, but to me it just doesnt make sense outdoors?

what i heard is that the leaves give off a distinct signiture with certain infared. i also don't know whether to believe it or not. when it comes to indoor grows its clear that the hot air being exhausted is a dead give away.
