Regular old lime is better than baking soda! Be kind to your plants. The better they feel, they more they reward us.

The most valuable piece of equipment i bought was my Hanna pH/TDS meter.
I just recently bought 4.0 and 7.0 and cleaning solution.
Tools like these literally take all of the guesswork out of pH and nutrient strengths.

As for the pelletized lime, i'm sure pelletized isn't that bad... it must me possible to grind it up a tad right? anything to break it down into something smaller

The fert you are using sounds like it could work. I've seen people use nothing but a 15-15-15 or a 20-20-20 and they get results. I just did a tad of research on Peters and it says that it chelates micros into the water. So it's got some sorta micro-nutrient reinforcement.

I'd say start with getting your pH in balance and a reliable test method and go from there.

Miracle Grow ain't that bad... free fungus gnats, but it ain't THAT bad. Dude probably has to drive 50 miles each way, like me! Too far!

Here's a little bud or two from some MG soil. It's the Gardener, not the soil!

Thanks Everyone!

Question, why couldn't I just add a little lime to the water say every so often as it would also provide the cal and mag as I know that my RO water here at home has none. The sick one has already shown some improvement and some new healthy growth since I added the lime as Lola suggested earlier in the post.

The Hanna PD/TDS meter should be here sometime this week.
