SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (Reuters) - Three-time world boxing champion Hector "Macho" Camacho died on Saturday, four days after he was shot in the face in a drive-by shooting, doctors said. He was 50.

Camacho was pronounced dead after being taken off life support following a second heart attack early Saturday morning, Rio Piedras Medical Director Ernesto Torres told reporters.

R.I.P to Hector "Macho" Camacho. Yeah, he had a BIG mouth, but he was very funny & entertaining as hell...Loved to watch him fight, great fighter,
or even his pre-fight interviews.

Definitely knew how to sell a fight & fight it too.

I'm pretty sure it was Griselda Blanco who came up with the drive by, long before gangsta rap videos. Not that I'm a rap fan.

BTW Drive-by's go back to Prohibition during the late 20's and early 30's. What have we NOT learned form the past that we keep repeating? Just another reason for legalization, regulation, and taxation!

Check out his demolition of Sugar Ray Leonard and his fight against Vinnie Paz and lots of other of his fights on you tube.....Camacho was definitely gifted and like most champions, he move as if he had plenty of time and unlike most southpaws he was fluid not jerky and awkward
