Heard bad stories with those. I'm going to try the reptile heat cables though. Make a sand bed and run cables through with my sog buried in sand to keep roots warm. We all like a warm root.

Anything rated waterproof is workable, however I would also
use a thermostat to keep temps in the proper range.

If using a sand bed, look out for pests that may take a
liking to a warm sand bed, lol

What about one of those dehumidifying rods for gun safes and such? They work by emitting a small amount of heat. I'd think it'd be enough to raise the temps in a micro cab but I'm not sure.

Or one of those tiny little heaters designed to be put in a boat's engine compartment during the winter months?

Maybe even an incandescent light bulb (or reptile heat lamp) if you could find a way to contain the light from escaping...

Instead of worrying about heating the small cabinet itself. Why not heat the
entire room and this will keep the temperature much more stable for your plants.
Cabinets are already limited by size if you can put as much stuff outside of them.

Cheers all - I didn't know of those dehumid rods, they look good. Kind of similar looking to the greenhouse heaters. Boat heater is also a great idea.

corky - unfort their location doesn't allow for it. otherwise that's what i'd do for sure. I wish I could keep them snug inside. i do feel for them being all cold haha.

I've done a fair amount of tweaking with fans etc and got them at a decent range for sativas rocking through a fairly brutal winter. bit of a test in pushing the limits but so far so good!
