Hey Bro......If those bottom containers are almost full of rootmass , then they`ll prolly double that once flipped till end of stretch normally with more sativa-ish hybrids , but....I`ve never run slow veggin indica dominant strains/varieties with little to no stretch , so you could be fine....She`s kinda gettin big though yas know ?.......All bout dialin them strains for perfect flip times....

Now....howta hold the leanin bitch up BEFORE the flip.....

Strap 4 bamboo stakes to the sides of the bottom container with duct tape in a couple spots higher and lower , and then just tie her off to the stakes in all 4 directions if need be ta hold that ass up before bloomage.......then.....gonna need "air" support from above in the bloom room I`m so sure.........LOL.......

Shit`s lookin killer Cyat......Good luck....

Peace......DHF......:ying:......

Aaaah DHF.... Iwas just going to tell cyat to improvise and show us what he comes up with... LOL... problem solving is the greatest gift we have... and leads to great solutions/inventions...
I have some decent Ideas for plant support that I'll be using on me next run... Hope they work..... hehee

Peace and Love yall

I have some greenwire, the kind you buy at the hydrostore, I wrap around the main stalk, and then when the tanks empty I stuff under the tank, the weight ffrom the water keeps the wire secure, and whatever side the plant is leaning, just tie from the opposite side.
here is a pic

Glad you guys are in my corner!
DHF 1/4-1/3 full of roots, got room.Hard to say how she'll strecth since it is growing way more compact and bushy than coco or dirt, and just bigger with much more nodes. Indica dominant fat leaf , but can stretch like a sativa in flip, does not connect too often.Could easy hit 8ft. tall and 6 wide if I dont hurry and flip.Thinking x o x ,x=1k, o=plant.Gotta share the sun.Thinking of a shower curtain type deal where I can slide the light in a semi-circle.The one on the left is a new girl, and not really tested, but we'll see ,the erkle in her makes her a little slow, and she hardly stretches.Fred cant do your staking technique with my design as the lid needs to be removable(have some new ideas for ver.2.)Billy thaks for the challenge , I'll take you up on it .I like to get creative.2ft. something and over 3 feet tall, everyday is dramatic growth.Roots are forming and growing above the hydroton. Only topped up with nutes , no changeout yet , at least 4 weeks with that water(a pain to drain,v2 will fix that.)Good to hear from you Mary , and thanks for the tip!Cant see your pic without signing up with that site.If no one objects I'll keep posting , since I learned this from Heath in the start of this thread. This system Heath designed, has been blowing my mind every single day, it seems to be bringing out untapped potential in a girl I know intimately.:)

So you just add a ph and EC balanced top off every day? How much does the tree drink, Can you give more details on what you're doing?

Thanks

Hey guys,
Your advice did help to give me a kick in the but.Thank you!The end caps outside the bucket can be exchanged for elbows allowing this to turn into a screen or cage.Just used what I had lying around.might flip soon, making room.Switching from coco to this system exclusively, so I'll be refining and redesigning a new veg setup for 8 ladies circling a six.

heath do you think i could get similar yeilds with 400 watters cmh and hps both or one or the other and why?? ((i understand there will be some decent loss but im trying to flower with max 2kw) "other than mass loss of wattage")) btw im a complete noob with 1 nl bagseed flat grow for experience in dwc and a couple failed attempts... all advice welcome :) ps first post on here, been lurkin ic, gc, riu for probably 3-4 years reading posts and journals for a couple hours daily learning through others experience/'s

Thanks kilo. X , Heath hasn't been around for a while. Imho , 400cmh don't penetrate far. I have a bunch of em. Should work alright , I guess it depends how big you want to go.
RDWC experts , please chime in, roots are in the res now. Cut em , yank em back , or fuck it?
Pics coming soon , need to move this beast , what an ordeal!

Zeno....Heathie`s cool.........just busy with real world shit and runnin more rooms than Days Inn......

Wifey and kids take up buncha time he usedta spend teachin on these weedsites......

Talked to him couple-3 weeks ago thankin my old ass for keepin the thread intact and answerin questions in his absence.......

Cyat.....Yank em , whack em , whatever it takes ta keep juice flowin unrestricted.....Heathie turned me onto using ebb and flow fittings with screens attached yrs ago on my ebb and flow buckets , but with bigger plumbing , any type of screen that`ll keep shit from growin into the drains will work as long as it doesn`t restrict flow......

Xrunner.....To expect 1 lb per plant with 2000 watts is only realistic if your plants don`t get too big and flarfy where the lights can`t penetrate the sideways canopy......

IOW......Gotta grow em out first ta see whatchas can come up with the first time and then dial shit from there.......They will be gettin lumens from 3 sides , so that`s in your favor , but for minimum 50 watts per sq ft coverage dictates your room be no bigger than 40 sq ft........so 6 1/2 ft +/- square`s what you`re lookin at for 4 plants to get big in with em not hittin the lights...

So as you can see environmental control and strain selection in a smaller room is much more important than light........

Good luck....DHF.......:ying:....

DHF K+ for keeping us updated. Tell him I send my regards and that there are plenty of us just waiting to learn more from him.

Glad i came across this thread, WOW!!!!!! Heath u are the ultimate horticulture prodigy. Your Style is uber innovative and effective, thanks for the added insight on my next hydroponic grow, and so do i need two 1/2" lines feeding the top or one for top feed and one for flow into bottom bucket or just one for top feed and should i get an airstone? thanks.

Purple,
I think I can help. Only one 1/2in. top feed is needed, unless you want to start young ones with drippers , then you would probably need the 1/2 running lower down and the drips too. I have just been running 1/2in. top feed since rooted (barely) clone.According to Heath , once complete saturation has been reached adding an airstone is not needed.
