I went to primary school with Heath during year 6 and 7 (so 92-93 i think that was), he's a fellow Perthie and just a few months older than me. He was a good guy, most of my memories are of him playing Aussie Rules Football and basketball, he was very good at both - always pretty tall and always very fit, he was a good sprinter too. And quite popular with the girls back then too! But then in year 8 we both went to different high schools and I never saw him in person again. He's the first and only person I know from school that's dead, which stunned me a bit because he's only my age and he's also the most successful person I know from school. I guess it stunned Mum a bit too because she sent me an sms about it!
Anyway i would bet money that this is just an accidental overdose and not a suicide. He doesn't even drink - he was drinking diet coke when he was going out last time he was here in Perth last month. The police seem to currently think it may be an accidental overdose on sleeping tablets, but I think its pointless speculating until toxicology/autopsy is finished.

What's scary is how fast this was world wide news. I would be that his body was still warm when this hit the news sites. By the time they carted his body out of his apartment there was an army of press there. I and everyone on the planet knows what the timeline 3 hours before and up to his death.

the strangest part of it all? is why call mary kate olson FIRST??? i mean what role does she play in this?? it is extremely odd the circustance surrounding his death..unlike other celebrity deahts
The masseuse that found him knew that Heath and Mary Kate were friends, so she called her, before she realized he was dead, whom in turn called her security to go over. It's all on TMZ.com.

Yeah, I have heard anecdotal reports of people that keep popping more ambiens while in an ambien-induced stupor, basically not knowing why they are doing it and not meaning to do it. Everyone that knows of the drug has probably heard it is possible to sleep walk and sleep eat while on the drug. So maybe it was accidental. We will see.
