Thats the original headbanger isnt it? With the v1 Biker male...
Edit: Nvm my mistake
What makes you think it was the v1 ? By looking at the pictures, I'm genuinely interested
I'm running a pack at the moment 2013-14, apparently the v1 was first used around that time frame.
2 weeks into bloom the expression of phenotypes seem to be more thin bladed leaves and rather sleek looking. Could also be more sour leaning than biker.. Curiosity is all, 9 females from 12 seeds.

Choppingdank; looking good your project sounds like fun, shame about the cuttings, wonder were the issue lyes, keep trying is all you can do.

Good luck with the pheno hunting.

Probably because I didn't wipe condensation inside the humidity dome as frequently as needed. My outdoor temps went from +10 to a steady -5 this past month and it got a bit cooler at lights off in the room where I keep my tents.

I'm afraid its not that interesting, I just saw the sticker that said v1 in the photo at the start of the thread

I don't know when started the confusion about Headbanger, from what I understand Karma has still the Biker Kush V1 male so the HB has never changed since the first seeds made.
It is the Biker Kush seeds who are V2 because he lost some of the plants making the V1 but he didn't lose his breeding male BKV1.
I know there was a try to make some repro on OG forum claiming the HB was not made with the same parents but it was bullshit.
Karma said in another HB thread he still has his Biker Kush V1 male.

Thank you, I appreciate you clearing that up I was a little confused about it.

Has taken me quite some time to sex these plants as I failed with my clones earlier. I have new clones under the dome and they don't look too happy either. Anyways, looks like I have 9 females and 3 males 🤘

Had to cut these in half as they got tall af. Fresh coco is arriving soon, so in a few days I'll transplant them into bigger pots. Well needed as they dry out too fast now. They are still in these tiny 0,7 liter net pots. This is far from a smooth journey for these plants.

Transplanted but have not yet put them into flower as I failed with my second batch of clones, 8 rooted out of 12 :( would like to have backups but I don't think I can wait any longer unless I cut them back a lot and wait another 2 weeks 🤔

I took the fattest branches and left a lot of leaf on em 🤞

Found a proper stinky male in this pack. Heavy sweet OG off the stem.

Still waiting on the cuttings to show roots before putting these into flower ⏳
Feels like these are overvegged already. Just hope I'll be able to control these after the flip.

Dusted clones with two males, a really stretchy one and that sweet OG smelling one just for preservation purposes. Would be cool to get at least 20 healthy beans per clone.

Nice to have 9 different females to try from 12 seedlings, it will be hard to choose only one with so many who will be really good to smoke. Be prepared for an agressive stretch, I'm sure you'll be able to canalize their growth, bend the tallest branches if needed. A good shave will be a must after 15/20 days of 12/12 maybe one at the end of the stretch around day 25/30.
Have you always grown in coco or also in soil? What do you like in growing in coco in comparaison to soil ?
I would like to make some grows in coco but I don't like having to measure PH and EC at each waterings

not sure what u mean by a good shave... i just went 12/12 3 days ago, but 5days prior, i started to clip tops, take off huge fan leaves.. normally once i go 12/12 i don't trim except for large fan leaves... hence the question.... thanks

Yeah 9 females is dope. I was not expecting that to be honest. Thanks for the advice amigo! Much appreciated. I have another net ready for when the stretch hits. I hope a few bends and twists will do it in the end. I'll probably have problems to keep them healthy mid flower tho. Do you know if these like to munch through a bunch of calmag? Or likes more of one or the other?

Yes I did soil before. Soil grown is fantastic but I feel like soil is too much of a hassle for me as a tent grower, coco is just less work, it's clean and I have more control over the plant at every stage of the growth. That's basically it. Easy and clean.
Some brands of today's nutes have such a stable pH that it's not always you'll need to adjust the pH. I rarely have to adjust pH in my tank. I fill it up, adjust, drop a circulation pump and it's good for a whole week.

If I switch to coco first I'll keep hand watering I like doing that to keep a close eye on the plants. This cross likes to eat and has a strong stretch so needs a lot of resources to feed it, they will also flower for 10/11 weeks on average so they'll need lot of food for a long period. Some C/M will be nice specially in coco I think.
With 9 females you will see many variations of this great cross, nice numbers to select a solid Headbanger. You already know what you want like pheno or not yet?

I hope you'll get a smooth transition to coco when it's time amigo.
I'm thinking I'll let these go full 11 weeks, 12 if I have to. How prone are these to mold? Did you have such problems with them? I've seen some Headbanger colas can get quite thick. That could always become an issue.

Well, I'm not really chasing any particular pheno. I'm just looking for the best plant that checks most boxes and keep the one me and my friends enjoy the most. But it is desiarable to find a nice Sour leaner and a Biker leaner that are not hard to grow, that would be dope.

Some HB flowers can be very big and dense so if your climate is a bit too wet it can be an issue.Your plants have been topped so you should be ok unless there is really excessive humidity. The HB I've grown were easier to grow than the Sowahh, easier to find the good feeding even with the SD leaning ones. With 9 females you'll have some nice representations of both parents and some interesting mixed phenos as well.

We shall see how it goes this round. I have weird temperature fluctuations this winter so I don't expect this run to be smooth.
I'd like to dive into Sowahh and Sour Bx2s aswell at some point or at least have a pack of each in the fridge. So many varieties, so little time and space 😅
