not to sure whats going on with 1 of these sour 60s it looks a bit deformed and has slight yellowing but i think this is under feeding even though the bucket is .8ec

im gonna raise both buckets upto 1.0 ec and see what happens

had a couple of bluestreak crack open just waiting to see if they make it above ground, my germination rate is pretty shit at the minute with these seeds

day 15 from seed

ive been looking on the boutique to find some info about these s60s and when the show sex but unfortunaltley they are not listed at the minute

i think the s60 may have a dwarf pheno amongst them and ive managed to find it in my first grow,im undecided wether or not to pull it out or let it carry on as the space could be used for something else

both buckets are on 1.0ec and ph 5.7

I never saw the dwarf pheno you are speaking of, my smallest unstunted on was 2 feet with the others being almost 3 feet.... They are slower than most until around day 30(trust me on this), they take off from there... Most of mine sexed close to 25 days..a bit longer than most...its insane how much the plants mature after the 30 day mark....i would at least let it go a bit longer and then decide if you think its a waste of space....

Awesome grow. I'm impressed with your work Skotty. I was wondering if you could post some more info about your DWC unit. As far as I know you're using 20L buckets with 2 airstones inside of each. Could you post some more details about your pump and size of airstones as bubbles on your pictures are amazing. Thanks. B.

2 buckets with 2 micro oxy stones in each, soon to be 4 buckets with 1 stone in each

im not impressed with that dwarf sour 60 so im currently germinating some more and i think 1 of the bluestreak isnt gonna make it, this puts me down to 1 sour 60 and 1 bluestreak with 2 more s60 to follow, ill let the dwarf go untill the new seeds are ready

im gonna experiment and grow 2 in canna and 2 in whats left of the vitalink max and see what happens

Yes, it does indeed. Do you mean 2 big oxy stones for 20 quid each or just cheap ones? As far as I can understand logics of DWC size of airstones does matter? Thanks.

I wouldn't say thats a dwarf pheno, it's hard to tell from the pics, but it looks abit burnt or something.., not happy, may be stunted...? Havn't heard of any dwarf phenos in s60, but theres always a first time for everything if that is the case. Good luck anyway

nah she aint burnt she is yellow which looks like underfeeding and its also been stunted now i think, i started all buckets on .8ec which is quite high but these sour 60 seem to want more feed, its hard to tell because the root system isnt big enough to make an impact on the overall ec of the water so you have to go off how the plants look to determine wether to higher or lower the feed at the early stage

both buckets were upped to 1.0ec but this stil looks like it aint enough, if a plant turns yellow on the lower leaves it could mean that they are drawing their own food supply out of themselves because there isnt enough in the res to sustain their growth,

both ph and ec are bang on 5.6 - 5.7ph as ive calibarated and checked both ec and ph meter before every res change to make sure my equipment is 100% accurate

i think the healthy s60 is showing signs of being female so all is not lost, but even she looks a little pale , i might up the feed again to 1.1 ec and see if they leaves darken up

every grow that i have done in the past has always been on low ec to start never had a seedling demand such high feed from the off,even la blanca was vegging on .8ec and she grew massive,

once i get dialled in to the plants feed we should be good to grow

o yeah the airstones are koi pond airstones i think i bought 4 for £10 off ebay cheap as chips and do a great job, i was using the big 1s but they blocked up after 3 months but with the smaller stones i can afford to replace them after each grow if need be

we have 1 confirmed s60 female which is good (sexed day 17) not much smell from my tent yet, usually there is a distinctive hum around at this time

the bluestreak is looking good, not growing as fast as id like

the yellow s60 aint getting no better so is gonna be pulled and replaced by the 2 s60's ive just sprouted

im having some major difficulty getting dialled in on these sour 60's, i just cant seem to find their sweet spot what so ever

the leaves look a little pale with almost a yellow tinge to them and i would say that its under feeding but ive upped the dosage to no effect, the female sour 60 is on 1.0ec an ph 5.8 which to me sounds perfect she is also on a flowering regime of nutes

after the plants show sex they normally go through a stretch period instantly but it doesnt seem to be happening ???

my tent is a little on the dry side with humididty in the high 38 - 39 degrees which should be good for flowering

also some of the lower leaves have dried out im almost certain it isnt nute burn but i cant find out what it is

there is no smell what so ever from the sour 60 even after she has added carbo load in the res

im begining to wonder what all the fuss is about with this strain seriosuly

i have 2 more sour 60s that are above ground and the bluestreak seems to be doint its thing

if anybody has any hints or tips they wanna throw in then feel free as i cant see what im doing wrong, i have a small oscillating fan that is blowing over the plants but nothing to heavy just a gentle breeze

temps in thetent are 79 and the oxygen in the buckets is insane with the res temps hitting 65 degrees, pretty much bang on enviroment

my light is 19" above the plants do you think this could be causing the problems and maybe it should be higher or lower ??

thanks muddy but at ph 5.8 every nute should be available to her, i do know that phosphorus is in the higher end of the ph scale from 5.8 upwards so i may raise it to 5.9 and monitor her for a couple of days, ive also lowered her ec to .8 just to play it safe

ive started to get a bit of a hum but its not very blueberry and it aint very bubblegum lol it smells a lot like fresh cooked toast bit like my maxi did in my old thread and it wasnt till she strated budding when the whole smell thing changed so im hoping for good things

the 2 new sprouts are probably the best looking seedlings that i have germed, they havent stretched and they have nice thick stems but they could be males and if they aint they will be fine ass ladies i can tell

i reiceved my blue mataro seed which is feminised so if any males do show i may sprout this and see what happens also keeping with the blueberry theme

Im telling you man, they stall until like day 30 (ive been telling you that for weeks now) and then they will take off! Wait until at least day 30 before you worry about them stretching.... your gonna be in for a major surprise when they do.... They stall after sexing majorly compared to all other autos ive grown....

i agree with 20/4 about the stretch around the 30 day mark. ive got some that are like probably 20in or so tall super cropped at like 49days in mccdonalds cups that are like 32oz i believe. i was trippin right after they sexed cuz they just seemed to just sit there at like 6in. then in all of 4-5 days over grew my small cab. so i super cropped them and they proceeded to stretch like 5 more inches. also mine werent feed anything except what was in the ffof and at like 3 weeks of flower i hit them with a small dose of 15/11pk and they are just starting to yellow a little at 49 days which leaves me a good long flush before they finish. so just be patient and all will be good. they look kinda nute burned maybe? idk i think id maybe lower the nutes 1/4 and see what happens if it gets worse work your way up till it goes away.
