8/30/23 - Checked leaves under the magnifying glass, but still couldn’t see any bugs. Cut off the problem leaves anyways.

8/31/23 - Sprayed them both w. very strong black tea. Both sides of the leaves and the soil. Hopefully, this will kill off any of the insects that were ruining the leaves.

9/6/23 - Extremely hot day. Watered them both. Should I be topping or attempting LST on these clones?

9/11/23 - Added a little GeoFlora Bloom to both plants. Did not water today since soil still very wet.

9/12/23 - Fed them a little Sweet Candy [0-17-28]. Sunny all day. Monsoon at night. Moved them close to the wall.

Did you find an online clone vendor that actually sent clones that were not infected or infested with bugs??

What bugs did you find on the plants. If no bugs, I might know what it is.

Looks like they are flowing. I wouldn't lst ,and I definitely wouldn't top

Thanks! Totally agree - no LST or topping at this point. Basically, I took cuttings for clones just to see if I could do it. Didn't even think about how late in the season it was. Also, thought they'd be in Veg, not Bloom. So, not really expecting much. Just doing this for the experience.

Luckily, I didn't buy these. Would not be happy if someone sent infested plants! Was cutting some of the branches off one of my plants and just decided to give cloning a shot instead of tossing them out. Not very well thought out on my part. Just wanted the experience of attempting clones. Checked the leaves w. a 30x glass and couldn't see any bugs. They might have been there and I just couldn't see them.

If not thrips / random insect, what do you think it might be?

I have been buying infected/infested clones. I use a usb microscope to search bottoms of leaves for spider mites, which that could be. 4 purchases in 3 months totaling 14 clones and every one had stem canker. That can cause spotting of leaves. Can be caused by fusarium, pythium or bacteria. In mine the clones were infected at base, and plant dies from bottom up. It can also get in from dirty tools cutting the upper parts of plants and will die from cut inward.

I follow this guys rockwool method. Used to think he went overboard with sterility, but after the crap I have been sent recently, makes a lot of sense.
