G

So I'm in Hawaii now...

and...

there is definitely a culture here that is accepting of using weed alot.

i see it definitely in the natives...

but also alot of the white folk!

WAY different from Arizona... way....

Hey there...
I definitely have the old school stuff. Its very sweet smelling. And uplifting. Its the hawaiian outdoor...not indoor.

The weed in Hawai'i was great!

But I heard the majority comes from the island nation of Palau.

expensive! Oahu$$$
maybe the Big Island it's more economical, since so much grows there.

peace,

go to Alamoana and peep out those hot asian ladies.
actually those hot asian ladies are every where.

Ah memories.

^^^ no shit it's expensive the first day i was on Oahu i laughed when the guy said $25 a gram, thinking he was trying to rip off the tourist. But shit every single dealer was $25. Def. worth it IMO. GREAT HEADFUCKING SATIVA

ahh smoking a blunt on the beach at night i walked up to another guy smoking and we shared buds, great memories makes me want to return

hawaii is pretty magical. it just feels pretty spiritual here. i like the native people alot. i've been hitchhiking alot... and the native people have been downright happy and friendly. one guy even bought me lunch...

the white people are cool too (i am white by the way), but there are some annoying white people...the ones more obessed with their money and capitalism (or what have you)...then the beauty of hawaii it seems. i like the hippie people...they cool. natives cool.

dude..
that is such a racist comment.
i can't believe you even foster that belief.

thats like saying, you mean nothing because your black. what kind of shit is that...

all of the native people i've met have been extemely nice to me. so whats your problem.

I never been to Hawaii.. But i had a friend who said she dated one of the major Hawaiian cannabis gurus. He gave her some seeds to use here in the states.. but she couldnt use them 'cause she lived in an apartment complex. She ended up giving me the seeds.. it was two different breeds.. and they are awesome plants.. and are the backbone of my homegrown. Huge plants 7-9' tall and 10-16' wide. and loaded with a bunch of nodes packed with tight little nuggets of pine sweet bud. ,, If only i could smoke some of the homegrown hawaiian buds to compare with:).. maybe one day.

Maybe he meant the term "white" doesn't mean anything there? And they call white folks "haole"?

Or maybe he really is just racist, hell I don't know.

yeah...whatever. some people are lame. just cuz i'm white i mean nothing? wtf is that supposed to mean.

"some" of the natives call white people haoles.

they're pissed off cuz the white man came...and are fucking up their ways. i actually agree... i think we are changing hawaii in many ways for the worse. but thats not my fault... i'm actually here to do work for the environment...

in fact, i was actually riding with some native girl the other day... and she threw her cigarette wrappers out the window. my white friend who was riding in the car was like, "why are you littering your own land?" and she was like... "idk...everyone does it, so i don't think about it"

there is a generalization that the native hawaiian people don't even give a fuck about their land... and just trash the place.

i really don't know where i stand in this whole debate. i've met some nice natives.. actually really haven't come across much racism... cept right here on this site! go figure...

but like a security guard said to me... if it wasn't the US that took over Hawaii, it would have been Japan. Hawaii is a strategic location... and in this day and age..it wouldn't just be the natural native hawaii it used to be. I think thats unfortunate... but I can't change it.

On my experience of the hawaiian scene...

I went to quite a few different islands back in May and in talking to a few hippies and nosing around... they gave me the impression that most supply is coming in through air freight and the local supply can't come close to keeping up with demand. The prices were quite high also.

Maybe I just talked to the wrong people but that was my experience.

Was there in Feb., plan on going back in Dec. and Feb.

Used to live there for a few years, been trying to move back ever since.

I love the fishing there.

Here's what wikipedia says about the word "Haole". It says the stinky breath meaning is a false etymology.

I think the people that say it are using it in a racist manner, but most white people I know ignore it and laugh about it later.

While I have seen the racism and been around people that think they own the islands, I didn't come across any of it the week I was there in Feb, it was just a party week for pro bowl.

I was gonna try to move to hawaii, until I figured out that since I live in one of the cheapest regions in the country, it'd not be too bright to just up and move to the most expensive place in "America", especially with no job there, haha

Lesson one, grasshopper,

Ha'ole is "without breath"

The foreigners could not speak Hawaiian, hence had no breath.

Even though all who were not of the culture were haole, the word has come to be used for white by many/some.

Akamai Kama'aina know better.

i was talking to a native tonight, and he told me haole is how i take it. he has haole friends... so now i understand.

Indi, have you been to HVNP yet? On the Big Island? Nothing like walking through a lava tube, man, there's nothing like it. See if you can't set aside some time to get to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park for a day, you won't regret going.

Also, on Oahu, the Polynesian Cultural Center's another great place to spend a day, educational, but still really neat.
