I found few onion phenotypes in original haze. it was ripe mango combined with freshly cut green spring onions smell at one pheno, sweet caramelized onions with sour pickled chili spiciness at different pheno, or phenos with earthy root vegetable smell with hint of spicy onions.

I grew two plants of HS from around 2010 and I didn't like the smell. Very woody, leaning to machine oil and maybe roasted onion. Not a smell I would select for. The effect of the first one was at least strong and actually not bad.

I suspect all the real (regular) HS and NH got made in 98 and GHS ran out around 2006. The seeds I bought in 2006 looked old when I got them. Pale and greyish with dust in the bubble that had come off them. I thought they looked dud at the time.

This plant is something else, she has two heads, nicknamed 🐲 🐉

Sharp limey incense notes. Early samples showed general extreme sativa potency. Elevates your heart, blood pressure, you have to be in a very good shape, both mentally and physically to withstand it 😅 This is primo stuff, and probably the most potent sativa I've tried o_O🤯

Dusted with Colombian gold male, but seriously thinking about revegging this plant.

Greetings,

I grew a Hawaiian Haze acquired from Marc Emory back in the late 1990s. I'm not sure if it was the same. It was one of two things I thought were worthy of crossing to the very special Neville's Haze freak pheno I once had. The freak was the best weed I ever smoked in my life, and I smoked Thai Sticks for a decade. I lost those seeds. The offspring did not approach that Neville's freak pheno. I decided to stop messing with the offspring of the freak pheno until I found something worthy of attempting to ressurect it. I'm still looking for it.

The seeds got so old I decided to revive them. In my first attempt, the seeds sprouted but didn't grow past the first set of real leaves beginning to emerge. They just pettered out. My second attemp, in the tropics, was a disaster. I used rice hulls in the soil mix that apparently were contaminated with herbicide. I lost a lot of great seeds in that attempt.

Still searching. But my point is that the Hawaiian Haze I tried was good cerebral type weed, though not world class like Thai Stick or that freak Neville's Haze. In the last decades, I've been preparing myself for finding the next world class individual I find.

I couldn't help myself from telling my tale. It's not often I hear Hawaiian Haze mentioned.

Best to all who appreciate and save the genetics that most people may not be ready for at the moment.

I've been smoking on some og/chem x Hawaiian snow that is some of the loudest most offensive flower ever. It smells like thanksgiving dinner that's been sitting in a hot dumpster for a couple days. Crazy stink.
Throwing out a wild theory. I wouldn't be surprised if gmo is actually a chem d x Hawaiian snow. What I've seen/smelt in chem/snow crosses makes more sense in stature, flower time, trichome density, and smell than chem d x cookies. Especially when nobody found similar in those chem d x cookies seeds.

The Hawaiian

Roger > Nevil = Hawaiian Indica x NL #1 (The Seedbank)

> Sensi = Hawaiian Indica
> Mr Nice = Spice > Soma, whole seedbank built of the Hawaiian Indica Male
> British Columbia Seed Company = Five-o
> Top Dawg = DNL

Hawaiian Snow/Amnesia Haze The apple never falls from the tree.

British Columbia Seed Company, made a Maui Mist. no idea if they're operational or not.

Abraxas Coffee shop also made the Hawaiian Haze seed on offer at some point in time.

The Hawaiian is one of the most important building blocks in all of cannabis today. Often concealed through other names and BS storylines.

If you can get your hands on one of the earliest packs, do so. Sensi Hawaiian Indica, or Mr Nice Spice Green Pack with Amsterdam address on back with "mrnice.net" or the Yellow pack from Switzerland days.

Needle in a haystack

You can remake Nevil's, Providing you get the F1s.
Hawaiian Indica X NH 15/21/36

I don’t know how far back it goes this is from 2006 … recall it fondly :) View attachment 19122420
This plant is full of resin glands, must make some great hachich with her trim. Do you remember what were the main smells and taste? The high must have been pretty strong with all those trichomes.
The plant shown in the first 2 pics of post #6 is beautiful, the flower structure is just perfect.
